If I had closed my eyes and listened, I would have thought I was listening to Dianne Feinstein.
There was a reason Joe was kept in the basement ,now it’s obvious that we have a “Driving Miss Daisy”situation .
Watching this today, after Biden’s Afghanistan debacle, leaves us with just one question. How quickly did this intelligent woman’s dementia progress?
Not quickly. She never said he was smart or would be a good president. She just provided analysis of Biden.
@@schroederscurrentevents3844 but she missed his underlying total insanity or maybe it started after his brain surgeries in the 80s...he's been doing bizarre things for decades, obviously not right mentally even before the dementia.
When I'm ready for a big bowl of BS, I look to the Wall Street Journal and Peggy Noonan. Thanks Frontline!
Why? She gave a very good analysis, fairly explained Bidens strengths, shortcomings, and flaws.
Maybe you just don’t agree with her and you’re angry about that.
Why would anyone interview her?
Peggy Noonan was a speechwriter and special assistant for President Reagan. Other than military hero I cannot think of a better resume line.
Like I say all the time I'm really thankful and really proud of myself for supporting Hillary Clinton in 2016!! I really wish that she would be our current president right now with Tim Kaine!!! I definitely miss Barack Obama as president so much. He has been such an inspiration to me since 2008 when I was 12-13 years old!!! I miss reasonable, thoughtful and calming leadership!!! I'm really hoping that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris win in November to abolish QANON, to dedicate the memory of RBG and to keep Barack Obama's legacy that he worked so hard at, I'm really hoping that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris win in November officially!! Elizabeth Warren, Eric Swalwell, Bernie Sanders, Amy Klobuchar, Pete Buttigieg and Cory Booker will make great cabinet members!!! Hillary Clinton will make a great US AG!!! Hopefully Barack Obama and Michelle Obama can be members of The Supreme Court!!! The systemic racism in this country needs to end as well!!
Please read today's headlines. It's becoming comical what she got away with. And also look at her foundation since she left public life. It screams past bribery to anyone whose been around the block.

Thanks for the upload. The whole series is very well thought out and presented. If I was an American(I am a Canadian) I would likely feel that I had some grasp of how to vote.Of course we are preparing for an election here and I am mainly shopping the media for Canadian opinion, so just by coincidence I am getting an unaccustomed viewing into your system.

"I don't know. But I think....." seems to summarize this interview
A correct answer to questions like "Why did Barack Obama tell Biden not to run in 2016" which is most of them...I call that credible.
I’d much rather have an honest thinker willing to admit what they’re not sure about than a liar who pretends to know everything.
I'd rather watch and listen to this lady than George Will anytime. And I'm not even a Republican.
Now in 2013 how do you feel now "PEGGY" !!😂😂😂😂😂😂
Peggy is always eloquent, but her entire interview is seeking to paper over the fundamental fact that her assessment is subjective and emotional. So many foibles of Biden are presented, and she winces and does a 'nobody's perfect, but he sure seems to try' shuffle.
She has a gut sense that Trump's foibles are incriminating and Biden's foibles are explainable and forgiveable, and if you wish to cede your own gut feeling to the 'expertise' of her gut feeling, that is your right. But it's fairly clear that it's subjective.
John Lee of course she is subjective did you think Giuliani was objective? The point is to listen to them all and make your own decisions
This is kind of, well, dumb. All political assessments are subjective and emotional.
Biden would not have won the Dem primary in 2016. The Party had so much faith in Hillary, and underestimated how her negatives would play out in a general election.
I doubt that the general election would have played out the way it did... had it not been for the politically naive Millennial investment in Bernie Sanders... including their refusal to vote for anyone except their absolutely favorite candidate... hopefully they have learned their lesson by now.
Wrong or right, the intense dislike of Clinton was a huge factor. We will never know if he would have defeated Trump, but I think he might of.
My position is precisely what it was in 2016. ANYONE but trump. Hell, I'd be a better president.i like joe and hillary..

Yes, one old white guy versus another. Biden has made gaffs and may not be as sharp as he once was, but he at least has character, something Trump lacks.
I'll settle for a little sanity and empathy again so I'm all in for Biden/Harris.

Very balanced, deep and accurate opinions. She’s really good! Loved the interview.
Joe is younger than Bernie, who was taken seriously as a candidate. That alone gave him "cover" to consider himself not too old.
@@robins1714 that's extreme. watching biden lately, i find him better than i expected, able top rise to the occasion. and, unlike nutty solo artist trump. he will be glad to rely on advisors, avoid grandstanding. yes, bernie may be a little younger energetically, but we don't have him, do we? nobody with sense expects perfection anyway.

You speak about Kamala as if she is insignificant. As a woman we all should be proud of her .

Trump must be fired in November to save his country from this Monster and duped Dotards.
Hmm. I don’t see what this has to do with her. Smart people can disagree on things. She’s certainly intelligent; and I’m sure you are too; it’s not so crazy to believe you just disagree.
She just can't get to use the word "empathy", right?
No, Trump was fated to be the President and see where we are. We were so disconnected.
@Thomas Headley Your definition of fate is different than mine. What I meant by 'fate' was action-reaction process as the result of some political gate keepers sleeping on the wheels not addressing brewing anger with some population who make up the Trump vase while some of the base originate from while supremacy. It is also possible Trump supporters are afraid of the way Democrats talk about charitable process of governing while to me this process will help everyone in the community.
@Thomas Headley Actually I checked on the dictionary thinking that was case. So, there are 2 definitions yours and mine.
@Thomas Headley Thomas Hardy, I think I forgot one group of people in support of Trump. The Christians have long been afraid of losing their right. One example is the florist who denied the right to refuse servicing a gay marriage. I think this country at one time went too liberal where atheists demanded the God in 'In God We Trust' off of US currency be taken out.
I think she exaggerates the degree to which Biden has tackes left; he's still pretty moderate, and comes off as such. Compared with Trump's effort to tear down institutions and rules, he IS to the left, but not radically.
How you liking him now? Economy is in the tank, shortages, and gas prices skyrocketing.
She's so smart, one of the canniest people in politics. As for Obama's doubting Biden as a strong candidate in 2016: Joe had run so many times that I, too, might have thought him someone who just didn't have it, enough popularity to win.
He definitely doesn’t have it. Look at what he’s done to the country! It’s terrible. Our economy is in the tank.
She speaks very well....listen to her mannerisms when speaking; no "umms".
she says 'um' more than 80 times -- 'ah' a bunch more times. there are certainly better speakers.

Let me first confess that I like Peggy Noonan, the writer. Her article, "You'd Cry Too If It Happened To You" (Forbes, Sept. 14, 1992) is often reprinted and one of her best known articles on modern moral laxity and Roman Catholic values. She is a capable public speaker herself and wrote speeches for Presidents Reagan and George H. W. Bush. She has written numerous books, some of which are criticized for relying over-much on anecdotal evidence or over-generalizations, but her basic themes regarding the decline of civility, manners, patriotism, and religion in modern life are well-reasoned. Basically, her heart is in the right place. But she has missed the boat here.
While I understand her antipathy toward President Trump, who is hardly emblematic of the "kinder, gentler nation" she envisioned while writing for Bush, she is wrong in this video in criticizing Trump for not acting quickly enough on the virus out of regard for Wall Street or his own interests. In fact, Trump did shut down airline service with China immediately to keep new cases from coming into the country. Second, he did accept the shut down strategy urged by liberals, over his private reservations, which he and his advisors realized would crash the economy, his strong suit. That was hardly a selfish act. I would argue, to the contrary, Trump should have stayed his original course, used our traditional methods of fighting the flu (as Sweden did), and avoided the shut down entirely, focusing resources instead on protecting the vulnerable and isolating the infected. Third, she is really wrong in thinking Biden and his socialist party would be an improvement over Trump -- but Biden is a Catholic, and I suspect Peggy's religious bias is showing in her endorsement of him.
Poor Peggy has never watched or attended a Trump rally, because if she had, she would see that PresidentTrump is beloved by a large segment of US society.
Those people are being paid to be there. There can't be that many idiots in each of these states.
He’s loved by a certain segment of American society, but hated by another segment. He is not my cup of tea, but I don’t hate him.
