How To Conduct A Take Off In Wunderbuild

This video will cover how to manage purchase orders in Wunderbuild.
- Upload your floor plans to Wunderbuild.
- Add take off items and choose between linear, square or cubic measurements for each item as well as a quantity measurement.
- Add a colour for each take off item to differentiate them.
- For each item interact with your floor plan and measure those take off items to scale on your floor plan.
- Add comments to your floor plan to keep track of items on your plan and to collaborate with your team.
- Add the material width of a material (i.e timber floorboards) for linear metre measurements and the system will show you how much of that material you will need for a given square area.
- Utilise Wunderbuild's deduction tools to deduct from the takeoff items measurements by deducting from the area on the floor plan that was originally measured.
- Add the height for square measurements, for example a wall so when you measure the distance of a particular wall, the system will give you a square measurement for how much plaster you may need to order.
- Utilise Wunderbuild's polygon and rectangle tool when using square meters measurement and you will be able to add a pitch angle to the measurement, which will be useful for instance if you need to measure a rooftop and you need to factor in the various different angles.
- For the pitch angle you can enter the degrees and take a measurement of a large area and you will see the square measurement x degree entered and the final measurement of that area based on pitch angle.
- Utilise deduction tools again to deduct the height of walls or a section of the roof.
- Add takeoff items in cubic meters too, and add the depth before measuring on your plan.
- Utilise the quantity measurement to quantify specific items on your floor plan by hovering over them to click for example toilets, sinks and other items on your plan.
- Edit and zoom in and drag the edges and lines of measurements you have made to enhance the accuracy of your takeoff.
