The Matterhorn was the major inspiration for this creation. I'm not super big on making exact replicas of real rides and prefer to do my own take on them.
Have you tried building a park using all of your creations? It's a project that I've been doing since discovering your workshop content, but I'm running out of room!
hey xaphor, super cool as always! can i ask you what desktop equipment you have to achieve such details and cleaness in your builds? do you use a vertical mouse? or maybe you use your keyboard a lot and so if, can you reveal your keyboard mapping?
Cheers! I wish I had a better answer for you but I am just painfully slow and use a perfectly normal keyboard and mouse. No real hotkey shortcuts than the default advanced move and ctrl + x to duplicate into advanced move. One thing I do suggest when planning out a new theme is going through the building and scenery menus and placing down all the pieces that might be a good fit in a nice neat corner. This has the benefit of not only helping identify what you have to work with but also saves a bunch of time as you can quickly duplicate from this "palette" of pieces rather than searching through the menu every time.
@@xaphor Thanks!! I didn't know CTRL x,. And you r so right, this technique with the buildings is great it give a frame, better than starting from scratch!
Awww... I wish you could’ve finished it and submitted it. I really like this and would’ve voted for it for sure. Great job none the less!! Your creations are never short of amazing.
I love your coasters, but I can never draw the paths as you show on your videos. I've been trying on your pirate themed one for days, and it just doesn't work. The path always wants to go in its own direction, or won't drop down in elevation. : (
So long as the angle snap option is checked and the width is set the same as indicated you should be able to replicate the paths exactly every time. For making stairs it is best to disable curved stairs. Also it can be easier to do the stairs by placing the path section straight and then holding the mouse button to bring it up or down. Hopefully that helps and feel free to ask for any further clarification.
@@xaphor Thanks for the extra hints. I was able to get it to work. I disabled the curved stairs as you suggested and also found the free camera mode, which helped a lot. I really appreciate the extra help.
Aye this is brilliant! Incredible layers of detail on such a blueprint.
Cheers Wormgar!
So amazing, Xaphor! Wonderful story and ride and thank you so much for such a thorough instruction video for installation!
Much appreciated Fisherman!
So freaking cool Xaphor! Love this. So compact!
Cheers Wikz! Used your orc stuff as inspiration for my orc area; had to trim down the piece count though :D
Thats was really fun, This is how the Matterhorn ride at Disneyland should of been made.
Cheers Tommy! The Matterhorn was a major inspiration for this and something I had been wanting to make for a long time.
Nom de Zeus !! Incredible that this super detailed ride can be a blueprint. Seems to be 10k pieces packed in there
Cheers!

Excellent ride and a very realistic mountain. Ever think of reproducing the Disneyland Matterhorn Bobsled Ride?

Was this meant for Channel 5 Gaming’s duelling coaster contest? Just too much of a coincidence as the contest wraps up on Jonny’s channel.
It was indeed. I started it for the contest, but then real life got in the way and was unable to finish in team. Oh Well!
