This is like Honky Tonk meets Gospel! And a good time was had by all! Home Free has such great chemistry with all of their collaborations. And yes, the guys allow their fellow artists the chance to shine without trying to overshadow them. They are confident in their capabilities and humble in their hearts which makes them such a special group of men! ❤
Not sure if you know it, but Tim Foust put out his very first solo video last Friday. It's Acapella and he does all the the parts. It's called "come go with me". It is awesome and a must see if you have a moment. Glad to see you back without Gentlemen.

I saw Home Free in concert about 10 days ago & Texas Hill opened for them. They're really good. They came back out later & performed this with Home Free. They also collaborated on Home Free's "Dreamer". They're supposed to be releasing a video of that one pretty soon. I think they're going to use some of the live concerts in the video. They told us during the concert that the performance of "Dreamer" was being recorded for a video.(So I may be in a Home Free video. LOL!)

The opening singer is Craig Wayne Boyd who won the 7th season of The Voice, and the pianist is Adam Wakefield who was the runner up on the 9th Season of The Voice and both had Blake Shelton as their coach. And of course, you immediately recognized Casey James. They formed their band in early 2020 and have recorded several videos that appear on UA-cam. During the past month they have appeared as an opening act for HF on at least 5 live shows while on tour. There is video by Country Rebel of both bands collaborating on stage singing HF's Dreamer from their Dive Bar Saints album. Texas Hill, just like HF are extremely talented singers and musicians and they do a live cover of Sugar Cane that is just outright fire. It would be great if you did a reaction to it to help spread the word and create awareness for Texas Hill. It is just dynamite.

Home Free and Texas Hill are great together. Each group are great separately also. So glad they got together and sang this song. There is...Everything Nash exclusive interview with Home Free and Texas Hill. Interesting and fun to watch. Don't have to react, but you will like seeing it on your own. This is a toe tapper for sure. Yeah those boys were on the Voice and American Idol. Home Free was promoting Texas Hill as they were opening for HF at some of their concerts. Good rendition. I think Austin wanted to go full gospel. Haha. Good reaction Dan. It was filmed in Wyoming when they were touring there.

The first guy was Craig Wayne Boyd winner of The Voice season 7. Adam Wakefield runner up season 10 of The Voice. And yes that was Casey James third-place season nine from America Idol. Great reaction from you as usual.
I saw them in concert last night and it was fantastic. They did a combination of Christmas songs, some of the new ones from the last few months and some fan favorites. Adam's beat box solo was incredible!!! Even though it was in Dallas, Texas Hill were not with them.

I wasn’t surprised you recognized Casey! I remember you saying you watched Idol. He was my favorite that season. Lee DeWyze won that season (9), with Crystal Bowersox took second place, and Casey in third. Love this laid back, yet upbeat cover! Loved your reaction! You’ve been missed!

I really love Home Free for letting Texas Hill to be the front men in this song. It shows they are confident in their talents and also recognize the talents of Texas Hill.

Hey Dan, hope you had a great weekemd. The 1st guy did win the Voice in 2014, and the guy with the guitar was a runner up on Idol & the piano guy was on the Voice too. This song started off as a African-American slave song that would be sung in the fields, then it eventually made it to Evangelical Churches in the Sounth by the early 1900's. I remember singing this every Christmas Eve at Candelight Service at Flagler Street Baptist here in Miami.
Now that you mention it, it 100% does have the cadence of your typical slave song. Ugh. That is more than a little disheartening. I hate thinking about pieces of every day culture that I find out had darker meanings.
