I live on the other side of the hill in Ellensburg. Wish I knew you guys were going up there, it would have been an honor to meet you guys and show you around a little. Although, it looks like you guys found your way around just fine. In terms of difficulty, looks like you actually found all that Naches has to offer. If you haven't already been to Liberty or Rimrock, those would definitely be some good places to check out. It'd also make for some great content on the channel.
Funny Rocks and Moon Rocks is why I bought my Jeep. Haven’t been there in probably 15-20 years but I’ll get there.
Great video!! AWESOME place to ride!
Naches is awesome! I love going there and just getting lost on all the trails. 676 is a beast
Ah my favorite place to wheel. Nice video!
Thanks Jack!
We're Jeepers on the Moon, we carry a harpoon. But there ain't no gas, so we tell tall tales and sing our Jeep'n tunes.
Brian Johnson love it!
It is a short drive from Ellensburg. I went up there in my stock K5 blazer several years ago.
Pretty cool wheeling! We have nothing like this near me in the Northeast.
Those were some rugged trails but wow, that view was memorable for sure.
Love all those toyotas! Super nice builds
Peter Watson we have a lot of really well-built Toyotas in the northwest! I wouldn't mind doing a Toyota build myself one day, but as I'm sure you could imagine I'm Holding Out for a diesel!
Nate Bleepinjeep A woman in my town drives a RHD land cruiser fj80 with a factory turbo diesel... I wish they made those in lhd...
Peter Watson oh my God I want it! I love those Land Cruisers
Yup they are pretty amazing with straight axles and lockers factory. One of my friends has one (normal USA) and he goes anywhere with it, i am always super jealous
Awesome video, great scenery and your rig makes it look so easy.
serinehart thank you! It was a great time and I'm happy to share it!
Love it! Thumbs up guys. Diesel is your friend!
Love that place. Enjoyed the footage.
Awesome view, looks like a great area.
I hear ya on the skeeters. Spent all night up in the burn zone once due to a d60 hub failure which the wheel left the jeep and promptly went down the trail without us.
Cool video. Looks like you guys hit it earlier this year? Did you guys go up 676? Thought I saw ardvark hill in the video.
Been doing those climbs for years great place
kevin kolman I agree! First time I've done those Trails specifically. The only other time I've been to moon rocks was coming from Cle Elum Ellensburg area. But it's a very incredible place, I can't believe how freaking big it is!
Nate Bleepinjeep that’s the only way I have been as well, I really want to come in from the other side!
You can get a map at whistlin jacks. If you want to go straight to rocks go up milk pond road
That surface at Moon Rocks looks like it would eat tires? Looks like some light driving but then you see the tight crawling and steep up climbs. Looked like fun. I docked it on Google Earth so I can keep it in mind. Thanks for the cool sight see.
You guys need to get a map.. lol
shawnmeyer44 I couldn't agree more!
Moon rocks was the last place my jeep wheeled before the frame showed its 20 year old wear.
Was up there these last 2 summers on Trail Jam. Awesome place.
Those trails are awesome. The last third is a big old bag of "nope!" for me though. I'd watch but too steep for my fear of heights. Gorgeous trails though, so much better looking than moab.
Khorsathedark the massive views are very comparable to Moab! This was one of those rare Wheeling trips, where temperatures good weather and clear skies all came together! At least rare for us and Washington lol These Trails definitely have their steep spots and are not for the faint of heart
those toyotas are sick!
It was a fun trip! Glad i got to test the datsun out.
Jephy Built hell yeah dude! Next time we need to get some more video of your truck on the rocks!
that Nissan sounds badass
crystal fyst yeah I couldn't believe how good it sounds. Jeph did a great job on that build
You guys need to come to South Dakota for the Dakota Territory Challenge
sl1ck001 that would be a lot of fun! When is it?
Labor Day weekend go to bh4wheelers for entry
I'm scared to look at how long the drive is from tacoma Washington lol I bet its 20hrs or more
Some of the best rock crawling trails around and some of the trails are only open for the event. Well worth the trip
NICE......
I'm convinced on the tdi swap I'm already looking at donor cars
Eric Lee do it! Powerful Little Engines. And you'll never have to carry extra fuel again!
Nate Bleepinjeep I'm a little nervous about first time I've done a swap ... any advice? things you would do different ?
It's not easy and your budget needs to be pretty big. I would recommend spending a lot of time collecting Parts when you find good deals on them and make sure you're comfortable with fabrication. It takes a long time to troubleshoot all the little issues that will come up along the way but it's extremely worth it and satisfying when it's all done!
Awesome....dude at the beginning all I could think was oh Fuck man he rolled his jeep
blair witch was filmed in western maryland
What kind of GPS is that? The breadcrumb deal sounds pretty handy!
A48WillyzGuy Magellan TRX 5. There are some things I love about it and some things I hate about it but for 300 bucks it sure beats the price of a Lowrance.
Looks amazing!!!. I wish a trail like this was around here. Anyway, whatever happened to the blue Yota? Broke a u joint and went home? Great up as always, cheers, Martin
Martin Vojta he snapped the front pinion and barrowed his friends rear third member and kept wheeling!
that is quite a bit of work to do on the trail. Good on him! Still, quite interesting the pinion was the weak link and gave way.
Martin Vojta I thought the same thing!? It's the last thing I would expect to break in a mudhole
Oh yea
A Nate i have a problem with my jeep tj it’s has 3 link and 4 link rear and I lift the motor 1inch now my clutch having a hard time disengaging but it was not dat before lifted the motor.
200Johnnyboy I would say the issues are unrelated but it's really hard to guess without checking it out in person. Your clutch should be completely hydraulic meaning that when you do a body lift there's no linkage to adjust. Your slave cylinder might have went out on you when you did the body lift just as a coincidence. Good luck! Troubleshooting problems like this can be very frustrating!
I thought ole dude was losing his legs there. Whew glad he didn't get squished.
Rodney's Repurposing/Recycling me too! I almost stopped filming for a second because I didn't want to video someone getting crushed but thankfully he was ok
Nate Bleepinjeep yea I was honestly closing my eyes. My wife said what on earth you watching that is that cringe worthy? I watched again once I heard he want squashed.
Just went to manastashe ridge last weekend hit moonrocks and funnyrocks buy snapped a axle broke my transfer case and ripped my shock mounts off XD
What are those front fenders some of the Wranglers have? I need new ones.
Jeremy Rhodes my Wrangler (the tan one) has aluminum fenders from genright. I'm not sure about the other guys unfortunately
How are the genrights holding up?? I've been considering the metalcloaks.
Jeremy Rhodes they have been good so far. Super expensive but they seem pretty durable. Metalcloak makes great products and there customer service is top notch
i really want to go wheeling here where is it. i live in port orchard
It's in naches, wa. By yakima, wa. It's on the east side of white pass. Rimrock is another fun place close by. It actually connects to the trails in naches
dave langmack it's already been answered but yeah its over just on the other side of the mountains from us. I'm in Tacoma and it was like 2 1/2 to the trailhead so add another hour or so for you. This place is worth it. Its soooo huge. It never ends!
Dude! What's up with all those red lights on your instrument cluster? :)
Dr_Boom the gauges aren't hooked up yet. I bought the instrument cluster module to communicate with the TDI ecu over a year ago. Kotybuilt still hasn't gotten me all of my parts. Very frustrating people to do business with
Nate Bleepinjeep Gotta love dealing with people like that..... 😒
Nate are you local to wa?
Chris Sutton yes I am! Tacoma
First!
Why so many dead trees?
RUSS808 they had a very big fire up there either last year or the year before I can't remember now. It devastated a lot of that area. It definitely gives the forest a different feeling when you're driving through it
Nate Bleepinjeep Oh no! That sucks, I hope they come back stronger. I thought it was from the pine bug or something, like in Colorado
Looks like it was a fun day man.
Good day wheelin!
Btw your such a great addition to this channel.
Aloha from Hawaii
It's mosquito Armageddon
MasterMoparMan you aren't kidding! You wouldn't see a mosquito for 2 hours and then you have a swarm of a thousand depending on where you are at on the trail LOL
Nate Bleepinjeep I remember the last time I was there with naxja for newest. We all stopped and got out to watch one obstacle. Then they found us. Never saw people get in a jeep so fast. We named that place mosquitogeddon
