BMW 340i has a catless downpipe, and OTS stage 2 tune on 93 octane.
1st race was from 40 MPH

I always thought it was insane the level of performance these modern BMW's have with just a downpipe and tune. I have a catless dp on my 335i N55 and a tune and it completely transforms the whole car. Good races and great content as always!

I have more respect for the 392 than the 340. The fact that the 392 made it a race is amazing. Most 340’s on that same setup would destroy that 392.
Its that tune if it was better than it would be the type of race you would be looking for. But for it being just a ots then the scat got a chance

Yeah the b58 platform is ridiculous you can make 600-650 wheel on an upgraded turbo and fbo with no internal changes these cars are fast af

Great race as always, best channel by far when it comes to racing! I'm really impressed with the charger. Not sure what dodge was thinking making them so heavy. Love the b58s for what they are and they are way more reliable compared to previous generations.

Idk why that 8-speed loves the 60 roll so much. The A8 torque flight is the only trans where you'll get that different of a result just based on the start speed.

Those intercoolers are built in to the intake mani and are liquid to air. Not sure if there are any upgrades for it yet.
Meth injection is the go to for lower iats
@@stutune is it connected to a separate heat exchanger in the front? I'm sure you can upgrade that before touching the intake... overall it's probably not as simple or cheap as slapping on a bigger front mount air-to-air unit.
@@sergeyakinin997 nah they’re completely built into the intake manifold, youd have to buy a new one or ise meth to lower iat temps
@@basicsay2909Yes the intercooler is built into the manifold but Sergey is 100% correct. That water charge is cooled via a heat exchanger that is fairly easy and straightforward to swap out for a few hundred dollars.

Gotta love German engineering 😈💪🏼 that's not even a proper M car and it beat a charger with a hemi engine.
That V8 6.4 Hemi only puts out 485hp to crank that typically average around 420whp some higher some lower. They have to move massive 4400lbs not very good power to weight ratio numbers. The 340i hands down has better power to weight ratio numbers at 3684lbs nearly 800lbs lighter and only down between 80 and 90 hp to wheels. Literally biggest Achilles heel is 4400lbs of 392.

@@johnny.3693 just because it has M livery doesn't mean it's a full fledged M car. This is a misconception many people have about BMW and there "sporty" variants. An example is the E46 330ci/330i ZHP, that car has the M short shift knob and M steering wheel as well as an increase in redline. Don't let anyone fool you there is still a discrepancy between a full fledged M car and a sportier variant/ M package car.
@@TheDavcrz5 the dp and tune 340i probably makes like 390-400 at the wheels, so more like 20-30 hp difference at the wheels

Honestly those 392s can’t really mod them , tune and bolts on doesn’t make a big difference like the coyotes
It's the massive 4400lbs of 392 that's it biggest problem. There plenty of mods available you can make 392 FBO tuned on E85 but you still have that massive weight. To be fast in 4400lbs boat you need 650whp or better to overcome it weight. The only way for it to be fast is forced induction.

@@matthewburkholder1076 I was assuming cold air intake, but the stock intake manifold works pretty well. You won’t gain much from changing that either. Better tires are the first thing you need to change. 2nd is get a tune. You wouldn’t believe how much power the stock tune takes out. The torque management in between shifts also removes a bunch of power. For example, when my scat was stock I made 445/457. During the first pull, the dyno guy forgot to remove the traction control. It only made 355 HP. after removing the traction control it then made 445. Think about that. That was in 5th gear. If you don’t have a good tire, and hit it from 40 with the traction control on, it spins for a second, and then traction control shuts down the power. That’s a 90 RWHP LOSS!!!! With a good tire and tune that removes or reduces the traction control and torque management, you can put all the power down.
