Omg--I lived in KC then (it's 2024 now!) I've seen Elton in concert three times, but honestly can't remember if I saw him in KC. I adore "The Fox" and bought it when I was living there. I feel so blessed to have seen him three times--the last time in the 10th row in DC in 1989--his talent is truly sublime🎹!

The 1982 Jump Up tour was, in my opinion, the best thing since his '74 tour. I saw him 3 nights in a row about a week after the Kansas City show. It was just amazing to see the original band - all happy and having a BLAST!
This is the 1st time I've heard Chloe. My Grandma's name was Chloe and today November 9th is her birthday. She would have been 114. I saw the song by Elton on my screen and watched it in tribute to my Grandma. Great song! I love it. Just like Grandma. She passed in 1992 and I still miss her to this day. Thank You Elton.
In Bernie's autobiography he tells how hard it was to collaborate with John during the early 80's. He was high or drunk most of the time and Bernie even ran into many of his dealers while he dropped by Elton's home.

Wasn't Tim Renwick playing guitar for Elton at the time? He is very distinctive and it sounds just like him... in fact I'm pretty sure it is. He played in Pink Floyd for a while too, and is VERY good.

@@tpowell453 I think it's because it wasn't a big hit. He has shown a willingness to reconfigure lots of songs where he used to hit much higher notes.
