This was played at my infant son's funeral. I was only 20 years and old was pregnant with twins. My doctor knew that my son was sick, however, he did not tell me because of fear that I would lose both of my babies. When my boys were born, I had no idea that I would be leaving the hospital with one of them. I experienced life and death all at the same time. Even now, 30 years later, it feels like it just happened today. The pain is still unbearable. My only peace is knowing that he is in a better place and that one day I will be there with him. I know that none of you know me but, I humbly ask for your prayers. I continue to struggle with this daily. My surviving son had a little boy who is identical to him. I feel so blessed for my grandson to be here. When he is with me, I feel like all of my hurt and pain has gone away. Thank you for taking your time to read my comment and God bless each and every one of you.
Hey Angela! Thank you so much for sharing your story. I am so sorry for your loss. This song obviously holds a special place in your heart. I can't even begin to imagine the pain you are going through. What a blessing to have your son and grandson to share your life with. It is said that God often chooses to bless us in difficult circumstances, rather than removing us to more pleasant ones. I pray you find continued peace in your faith, and in God's promises...
This song was sung by our music pastor for our daughters service. I asked Kevin to sing for Ginny's service and he picked this song. I was blessed to be asked to participate in Ginny's commencement evening activity. I asked if I could sing and I was blessed with a yes. I spoke for a few minutes before singing saying, "Ginny" would want each one of you to be with her and with Christ when you die. She would want you to know Jesus as your personal Savior so I'm dedicating this song to you. Ginny was 16 (12 shy of 17) when she died tragically in a vehicle accident. God bless you for posting this and sharing.
Still brings tears to my eyes and joy to my heart. This song and Tim's sincerity and faith has brought me such comfort. Thank you and Debbie for just being you.
What a joy to stumble on this...the liner notes are joyous. I may sing this at a funeral by special request on Jan 4 in Rhode Island and this will be my primer. I also hope to co-pastor if I find a church that will permit me to serve Christ with them. May I be as effective as this saint and holy man well remembered.
This video was never meant to be made public. It was simply a means to document the recording of the song, and for the family to have something to look back on and remember Tim after his passing. As far as a heavenly background, it was recorded in the worship center. That’s about as heavenly a background we could find on such short notice… :-)
This is such a comfort... My husband joined heaven 10/29 after a lengthy, painful illness. ❤
Best Rendition I have ever heard of this song. Rest in Peace.
