Loaning money for consumption is clearly a bad idea. Then why are there still companies offering consumer loans? How can they sustain a business model?

This was great, I've been looking for "how can i get a loan in australia?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Gonulian Inconceivable Guide - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? It is an awesome exclusive guide for discovering how to get business funding for business without the hard work. Ive heard some super things about it and my buddy got excellent results with it.

On the contrary, I believe that the consumer loan is a much safer investment (for the lender). Assuming that Paul has a stable job for many years, his future cashflows are very predictable. True, he has a spending problem but this might very well translate into a more profitable payout for Jack due to the magic of compound interest. An investment loan, on the other hand, comes with much higher risk of the business failing as well as the additional headache of the due diligence needed to be done for the specific business.

Consumer loans can be quite good for the lender if the proper precautions are taken. For the borrower they are usually bad, but there are exceptions. For example, say that someone was living beyond their means with bad consumer loans, running up debt on multiple lines of high interest credit. Now they are trying to be responsible and get their life together, living within their means and paying off their debt. In such a case it can be beneficial to take out a lower interest consumer loan to pay off the high interest loans, freeing up more capital for productive use (or simply to pay off the consumer loan faster).

The return from a productive loan is not interest. It's profit. Two very different concepts.

So it's better to own a huge amount of money. You won't have the problems with borrowing the rest.

    WRONG
    1) Consumer Loans do increase productivity. My mortgage yields 7% in rental income.
    2) Why haven't you talked about security/secured loans ...no one give u a loan for any large amount for free
