What I got my kids for Easter 2019! Boys and Girls Easter Basket DIY! Our baskets aren't stuffed with candy - I buy the kids items they need or want and I also incorporate Christian elements into their baskets to focus on what Easter is really about - Jesus' resurrection! We're on a mission to get rid of crappy toys and junk in our home and have been busy using the Kon Mari method to declutter our home, so our baskets are filled with QUALITY, purposeful items for our kids. I love all the books! That’s something I always put in my children’s baskets. They love to look at them or have me read, my oldest is 6, so she’s able to read along or read a little bit by herself. Books are probably my favorite thing to put in Easter baskets! ❤️

I have a 3 year old son and i pretty much get the same stuff and make sure the baskets are super full
I try to be really mindful about bringing quality items into our home that 1. will have a home in our house, and 2. that will last more than a day of play!

I love how you addressed the true meaning of Easter💜 As well as how your baskets were kinda full but for viewers that gives us more ideas especially with the difference in ages! & what you said is true.. it’s vice versa for me we tend to spoil the kids throughout the year so the holidays are on the smaller side. I’ve been holding off on filming my what’s in my kids Easter baskets because I felt like there wasn’t enough stuff so I think addressing what you did is great to do!

Thank you. I definitely do buy for their personalities! Evan and Ezra are similar, and my middle son, Brady, is so much more artistic and into quieter, more independent activities. My boys have never been one’s to complain about getting different things. They would rather have different and then take turns enjoying each other’s items than have three of the same 💕

When you were talking about his art I was expecting to see a very well drawn human for his age and my mouth DROPPED. He is an amazing artist! My goodness! I couldn’t paint something like that if I tried!!
Thank you so much, Hannah! I know... it’s strange. I’m blown away every time he brings home another completed canvas. His art teachers were truly taken aback by how well he did. He chooses a small photograph from their collection on his own and then he paints it on the canvas with acrylic paint. The fading of the colors and the reflections of the sunset was probably better than I could do! The Art Academy he attends once a week has definitely exceeded my expectations. I can’t imagine what he’ll be able to accomplish after several years of attending.

pink after blue I wish my 10 year old could get actual classes. She’s so good too but she gets lost in her projects and she tunes the world out lol. She loves your sons baskets. She wants copic markers and oil paints. Nice to see another parent who isn’t filling them with cheap junk and to much candy. I have yet to find anything that says Jemma on it. Closest is Emma or Jenna.
See im not the only one who goes all out for Easter. I got my daughter things like a bathing suit, sandals, shoes, beach toys, bows, chalk, bubbles, a cup, and loads of other thing but things that she will actually use and be able to use for a long time. My daughter is 2 as well. I do a small beach pale with little "candies" like fruit snacks veggie straws (her fave) a set of suckers and peeps of course also put a few fruit tethers I think they call them now? Like a fruit by the foot but healthier lol. She loves them

I feel like financial literacy is so important for us to teach our children! 💕 Saving for goals and experiencing hard work over time for what we want instead of immediate gratification are lessons we try to instill in them. I pray it keeps them from every being entitled.

Rudy is an awesome movie and I totally agree about only giving special gifts for Christmas, Easter and Birthdays. Love the bunnies they all picked out lol too funny. We didn't give my daughter a lot of candy either.
I’ve always gone all out for Christmas, Easter and birthdays... my son was only like 3 yo when we realized he didn’t really like candy much, so our Easter baskets turned into something like yours.. I do buy high quality Chocolate crosses and often things like hockey player figures, etc. He shares them with us... I too, tend to get some fun smaller toys, movies, books, a video game, and little figures that he collects that fit inside eggs. The Easter bunny always hides those eggs... later on Easter Day we have dinner with his cousins. We always had Easter egg hunts for them too - I always filled the eggs and usually had a special egg for each kid to find - where I’d give them a super soft stuffed animal when they brought it to me.. I love making holidays and birthdays lots of fun... thanks for sharing so many ideas! My son is a teen now...I also did fun Easter baskets for my then teen step daughter...usually pampering items..

it’s really nice to see when someone’s oldest kid is 10 vs my family who’s youngest kid is 10. my brother cannot tie his shoes lol just because he’s still the baby of the family. and it’s just cool to see like the comparison of how kids that are the same age but different bc they’re the oldest vs youngest if that makes any sense.
That’s usually why I watch these. Then I realize how different my 10 year old is 😂 she only cares for art supplies or Jurassic World stuff. She usually likes the boys baskets and rolls her eyes at girly ones. She might even revolt if there was any pink. Spent an hour repairing her Yoda basket because she refuses to accept a new one.

I enjoy giving my kids things. My oldest has always gotten most of what he wanted and he’s getting scholarship offers and is talking to Yale right now for football . He’ s in the top of his class. Buying your children things doesn’t mean they can’t be great humans !

i loved this i dont like to spend too much on easter but i also hate buying cheap stuff cause its just rubbish so i prefer to get a few decent items but mine get spoilt all year so id be the very same as u if i didnt buy them all the time and just be careful with the bath crystal things u got jenna ive seen some bad stories about them actually hurting kids when they are popping

When I was 2 I didn't even know what lip balm was
My daughter doesn’t know what it is either, but she does still need it when she’s out on a windy day and has chapped lips, especially with as many sports practices and games we’re at with her brothers. Having her own designated lip balm is more hygienic than me applying mine to her lips.

Thank you for sharing your baskets. Other than you, I’ve never come across anyone else who does a basket like I do for my nephew who is now 12. I collect through the year given my business travels. Easter is one of my favorite holidays and I usually go to my cousin's house and we go all out on the egg hunt and confetti eggs the pictures lol but I most likely won't be going this year since I'm having my first little bundle of joy and I am due the 30 of april.. but i have a soon to be stepson that is 5years old and will be our 1st Easter with each other and I want to make a Easter basket for him.
