Potassium chloride is a natural electrolyte that your body needs though. So is salt! Magenisum Sulfate is also used as an electrolyte! Of course if you overdose in it (like a lethal injection) then it's bad for you. Natural water you would get from a well has electrolytes in it too. Drinking water without electrolytes is what can actually dehydrate you. I remember hearing stories of military guys who would straight up add salt to their water, because they were sweating out electrolytes.
How is this a “scandal” for Shane he literally said this whole video was a joke and that they were all just theories I don’t how people don’t get that he was filming a funny video and posted it because he didn’t have a video ready to post

My brother and I used to talk about Dasani in 2019 and we did our own ingredient comparison because we saw a lot of people doing it on Instagram and stuff (this was during hurricane Irma, we had nothing to do and lots of water.) We saw that it had extra ingredients compared to other water we had but we left it at that and just agreed to get different water brands. Suddenly this "scandal" pops up and everyone is talking about it . . . like what?

i think people believe literally everything shane says. like he’ll say the theory is just for fun but people take that as the truth. but he does have a point, why’re there so many extra stuff in dasani water. whilst i understand they’re not so dangerous and have health benefits, it’s just seems very strange to have so much extra stuff in water.

Especially how they just skimmed over PH levels like that... PH levels are so important in order to keep your body in balance and to regulate metabolic processes. A diet high in acidity will lead to weight gain, slower immune response, and susceptibility to disease.

essencellie your water shouldn’t be extremely alkaline either, your body should have a ph balance of 5 which is right in the middle , your body automatically regulates your ph by itself anyway so drinking a bottle of dasani is literally not going to affect you, maybe if you drank 5 gallons youd feel something

@@arianaharris1548 (I'm not here to defend Tana buuuuuut....) Like mostly all other reality shows, RuPaul's Drag Race is a prime example, the entire show is filmed in a couple days and that's it. The time frame said episodes are released is not an accurate representation of when things actually took place. So it very well could have been that the episode you are trying to bring up was already filmed and done by the Tana released her explanation. If you have anything to show otherwise, I would like to know.
honestly dasani is really bad, last time I went to play with some friends, I wanted to drink some water. My friends had Dasani with them I took a sip of it and instantly felt the need to throw up, I couldn't stand it at all I felt like I was drinking metal with salt. That left me with a stomachache for two days, i could never drink that again.
LethalBabe that’s Bc since your where tired you drank more of it, so you took large sips. The mega and salt is just you saliva or sweat, you could have eaten something bad making your stomach feel off. I could be wrong but you never know.

Someone at Spill clearly doesn’t know what ‘quenching’ means. No, the claim wasn’t that salt was added to be “thirst-QUENCHING”. Quench means satisfy. The claim is that salt is added to be thirst INDUCING.

Can she get sued for saying “the truth”? She signed legal papers on what she can’t share and what she can publicly.
Depends on the details of contract, I'd assume she can't share anything before the season is released similar to what TLC's my 600 pound life producers do, where after the episode airs the people who appeared on the show can do whatever they want. She should be fine sharing now that everything is said and done.

Really? Lucky. Here where I live tap water is so,, well not "dirty" since we use it to wash the dishes and stuff, but its just full of impurities that its not recommended to drink it straight up.

I say this being a fan of Shane - he should be a bit careful that his theories don’t turn into fearmongering. Associating “bottled water” and “lethal injection” could potentially open him up to a libel suit

Some of you have also pointed out that we should have gone into more depth about how acidity levels effect our health, and we agree. We can’t add to our video, so we added additional links about it in our description.

You said something like, “after this step in the lethal injection process the body is already in a weakened state,” I assume this makes it easier for the process to “take” with the introduction of this chemical that is also in Dasani’s water. My question is, what does this mean for people like myself who have chronic pain/illness issues and our bodies are constantly in a weakened state to have this chemical introduced to our bodies, especially if we drink it regularly as i am sure some people do? That sounds dangerous.
Its probably not dangerous, unless you consume like, unholy amounts all at the same time. The dose in bottled water is small and it's so diluted that it won't have an affect on your heart rate.

KATTRINA KISS I mean it has flavor when you add salt. No flavor -> flavor= enhancing. You enhance it by adding something to it to achieve a different taste. But Water definitely doesn’t need flavor in my opinion. I think company’s do it for marketing purposes. People buy it, drink it, like it and then they will be more likely to buy that brand again. It will draw people in and make them want to buy it more even if they don’t realize there is suppose to be a “taste”.

I feel like the addition of expert opinions is slightly twisted. Ya'll say sodium 2,300 MG of salt is what you need and make it sound like they add it for taste or for health reasons. When in reality the average american consumes too much salt already and we don't need extra in our water. Legit just drink water from the tap anyway, your state adds flouride and other minerals for your benefit already. Just google your local county water quality and think for yourselves.
Also too much salt can lead to health problems and it's not even a crazy amount to have "too much"

I completely agree about most people getting too much salt in their diet already, as it is used to preserve so many various foods, but drinking fluoridated water really isn't beneficial, and is a toxic chemical to be putting in one's body. The Nazis added fluoride to the water in concentration camps to make them more docile and easier to control.

The problem with someone like Tana is she never seems to sound like she's actually working on anything. She always sounds like she's simply explaining the logical reason why she's a mess without the actual insight to realize it's a mess she's making herself and she's the one responsible for cleaning herself up. Being a depressed alcoholic is a reason for bad behavior, it explains it, but it's not a valid excuse. She has all the resources a person could need to make her own life better, but she sounds like she prefers pointing fingers into the past while not admitting she's driving her own self off a cliff.
Meantal health and mental illness isn’t that easy. You could know how to help yourself but not have the energy or willingness to do so. It’s a lot more difficult to motivate yourself to do what’s best for you when you have no motivation, and weighing thoughts. It’s easier said than done ❤️

Having mental issues is not your fault, but it's your responsibility. It's awful to struggle with your mental health, but it's terrible for the people around you too. It takes more strength to get help than to make excuses for yourself - change hurts, but sometimes you have to pull yourself together and face your demons. Tana? She's still making excuses.

I've been there. There was a point in life where I wanted to just give up. My parents took care of me, like the doctor was trying to take care of her and I just denied their help because then, life didn't matter. I didn't care if I lived another day. As someone who's been through it, I know how she feels.

I was present in 2010 when MTV filmed an episode of made at my High School Lafayette High School in St Joseph Missouri they made the girl Kristy seem like everybody hated her and they asked loaded questions in order to do so... they ask questions about other people and would edit the entire question out and use the answer about the person that wasn't even Krissy!
nobody at my high school knew her she was very quiet and for sure nobody hated her it's very upsetting to see that people take these types of shows at face value without understanding the amount of context taken from the situation especially for the sake of entertainment!

We do need some of them for day to day living. Natural water is not clean, even if it looks like it is. How do u think our water systems work? Water from ur sink, toilet and shower all end up in same place. Water is cleaned and put back out into lakes/water ways... we need chemicals for that.
We need certain chemicals in our water (chlorine for example) so that no bad bacteria grows in the water. Your right, certain chemicals are NOT supposed to be in water and shouldn’t be in water if they are, but none of the chemicals put in standard bottled/tap water is harmful in such small amounts.

Maybe its different because I'm in Canada.....but the only ingredients in OUR bottled water (other than Dasani) is "NATURAL SPRING WATER"
