I just bought my first one it’s beautiful. I won it for $10 on eBay. The obverse features an Indian head penny style, with the inscription “United we Stand 1863” while the reverse states the following: “Broas Bros Army & Navy, New York
I've seen a lot of Civil War tokens over the years and those sure are beautiful. They're a really distinctive part of American history. Thanks for sharing those with us!
Eye appeal is King more so now then it has ever been. Most of these have great color however my favorite is the near full red Flag of Our Union token along with the CW Bahr which has excellent PL fields I think
Hi, Ben. I like most the Indian Head, the second to the last token. It has excellent eye appeal. Nice toning and a great design on the reverse with the crossed cannon and flags. I also like the one that mentioned coins and the one with the press. *TYU*
They'll straight grade the tokens with wild original color toning but if those same colors were on a unc wheat cent they would call it questionable color.?
How can they accept these toning colors on copper tokens and yet with a simple indian head or lincoln cent it's "questionable color"? Every one of those tokens are beautiful and the have toning they reject on US minted coinage. Lovely tokens...
@@tomtalley2192 I've seen common date Indian Head cents that were nice but came back questionable color that were barely worth more than the grading fee. And... why should the value of the object make any difference? It should be irrelevant. But sadly, you're probably right.
I have a lot of these. How do I know if it's worth it to send 'em off to the graders? It's really hard to tell which Feld number you have, because the dies are so similar. I have some of the same patriotic token designs, but there are SO many slight variations.
Wow, those Civil War tokens are truly a numismatist's eye candy. If it wasn't tax time I might have considered picking one up.
I have a few Civil War Tokens , They are so full of history! Very cool "Coins"
Glad you gave me the opportunity to pick up a couple of these, Ben. There was another unmarked "Top Pop" in the group...

I really like these. I don’t think I saw this video before. These tokens are strangely addictive.
Nice
Phenomenal Civil War Patriotics and storecards! Wow.
This made me want to buy a civil war token . I have always disregarded these until now . Thanks !
I need to learn how to do close-up videos like you do.
Oooo... some cool toning! Love those Prooflike surfaces too!
Eye candy for sure!
I gave a civil war token to a Retired Navy veteran. It said Navy Army on the back and dated 1863. In remarkably good condition. It was red brown.
Mine was not slabbed or graded
48 N 10th St in Philly is now a Vietnamese restaurant. Cogan moved to New York in 1867. Passed away in 1884.
Really top shelf. You keep hitting em out of the park. Way to go Ben. Just saying. Mike

NGC is much more lenient on AT coins
Because coins can. Be worth tens of thousands of $$. Tokens a couple of hundred.
