I bought this machine a month ago and leave my feedback here for people interested;
1. Generally this machine is well working
2. You need to capture QR code in the manual with a built-in camera at some point of set-up and it is almost impossible. Highly recommend to use another method as instructed in the manual
3. Sometimes kibbles get stuck in internal tray so it stops machine working and showing "no food" in the app when you tried to feed a pet. This happens quite often when kibbles are relatively more filled up (1/4 of capacity) in the machine. I am still experimenting this
3. Found sometimes machine dropped the connection and showed that machine is "offline". Basically it says manual feeding is changed to auto feeding function when machine is "offline" but now sure what the feeding size is when it is auto feeding.
4. After found machine was offiline, I have tried to turn off and turn on the app few times. After an hour machine finally came back online. Still not sure what made this machine drop the wifi, and not sure how it went back online

Hey, I will need to leave town for couple days. How do you like this product so far and does the food get stuck? I bought many automatic feeders but a lot of them do not dispense food properly. Would appreciate your response
I absolutely love it. I didn't think it would work out, but i has. The only time the food gets stuck is when
it is very very low in quantity. Anytime I've put in enough food, it works fine. The cat is so happy every time she hears
the food dropping down. I haven't tried one on my dogs yet since there are two of them and I'm afriad one will hog all the food if I feed them together.
What app is it? We got the feeder for free, do not have the manual and have no idea what app to download bc u didn't show what it looked like??
I’m interested in buying this however, the link you provided is not right. The product it takes me to might be an older model bc the design looks the same but it doesn’t have a camera and it has control buttons instead of the app. I already tried looking for it on amazon but i couldn’t find it :/ Maybe they discontinued??
I just looked and I see what you mean. The model is similar, but doesn't appear to work with the app.
I don't know whether they discontinued it altogether, but it appears that way. I only see the model in the video at places like Ebay. The model with the camera and app was more expensive than the currently-available model. There are other brands out there with apps, but I am not familiar with them, so I couldn't recommend one.
The only advice I have in that regard is to be careful of any product on Amazon with all good 5 star or 4 and 5 star reviews - many companies (not Abtech as far as I know) still send free products or reimburse reviewers on Amazon and I am always look for the negative or neutral reviews because any product should have them. I get contacted all the time to do Amazon reviews and I no longer do them .

Urgent question! I have the same device and i left my cat home alone but the app suddenly stopped working, the camera isn’t working and the feeding schedule is gone, my question is, does the device still dispense food when the app isn’t working?
I have not had that issue and don't know the answer, but I suspect it will not dispense. I would try to find my owner's manual with contact information for you, but I'm not at home at this time. I'm sorry I could not be of help.
can you do as many portions as you need or is it limited to only 3 meals a day
It looks like (from my phone app) that it's limited to 3 automatic feeds per day, but
you can do manual feeds anytime (with or w/o phone app)
keep the food dry

The app is petfun, but I'm not sure if it is still available at the Play Store.
How small is each portion... like how many portions did you serve in this video?
I don't remember how much food we dispensed in the video, but you can feed up to 9 portions automatically per meal and a portion is 10g or 0.35 oz. - about 3 portions per 1oz. There is no limit on manual feeding.

hi is this "anti ants" as well? cause i usually have ants coming into the food.
I haven't had any issue with ants, but I see how that could be a problem. I saw no reference to it being
anti-ants. It does have a very tight lid. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

It dispenses different chosen amounts of food - not sure what you mean by sensor. Do you mean letting your know when the food is gone?
@@UrbanErvin does the camera have a sensor when the cat starts eating? does it automatically starts recording or do you get a notification when they are in front of the feeder so you can see them?
They have changed the design of the feeder, so I don't know whether the current version has that feature. If you click on the Amazon link below the video, it goes to the listing and there is a Question and Answer section where you might be able to get your question answered.
Can you put water in this. I'd buy 2 if so.. one for water and the other for food.
I don't think it would work for water - it is designed for food, but there are much cheaper water dispensers out there, as you probably know. Thanks for watching.

The problem with this sort of feeders is that while waiting for food, by impatience they might topple the device in which case it becomes less useful... it should be heavy at the bottom so that the center of gravity is much closer to the floor so that they cannot topple it.
That's good to know - my pets haven't toppled it, but I see what you mean.

Does it still work?
Yes, it does still work fine, but at one point it lost contact with the wifi - don't know why and whether it was my wireless router or the pet feeder, but when it lost contact, it would not feed remotely until it was reset - so that worries me about the issue of leaving town and depending on it to feed.
