All the madness going on in life was instantly cancelled out once I stepped on that board. Anyway I just picked up my first board first week of June this summer after 19 years and I’m so fucking hyped. These guys instantly brought me back to those days and I said fuck it. I got a vid I just put up of my progress in three months. I bought my daughter a dope ass board to and take her on all my skate missions
My daughter watches skate clips with me quite a bit, and she just started asking me to teach her how to skate. That might be my excuse to go out and buy a board. I won't be jumping down shit anymore, but I could show her how to ride one. Even though I haven't stepped on a board since I was around 19, I still feel like I could do some shitty kickflips and some other things. It's just that my ankles and knees aren't what they once were, and I can't afford to hurt myself too badly. Regardless, I'll always be a fan. It still impresses me just as much as it did when I was kid, if not more so.
Old guys unite! I’m 43 with two kids. I graduated from Jupiter high school but now I live in HB. To see skater come out of Jupiter these days John, Zion, Cromer, gets me hype. Get on your boards and show everyone old guys can still have fun on a skateboard. Just look at the Gonz and Dill.

I don't want to speculate but it's just super interesting considering the dude that won for eg is doing some of the most amazing, progressive curb skating being done right now? (James Alby btw). Surely worth a mention/ air time on here?
