- Which farm are we building today? A Witch farm of course! Witch farms are AMAZINGLY EASY to build, like literally, they take no time at all… but in typical Prowl fashion, we aren’t JUST going to build a witch farm. We need an amazing build to go with it, and this may be my best and favorite build yet. Wait till you catch the timelapse on this build, and even more so, wait till the very end to see what the build looks like once all of the landscaping around it has been completed!

Also i have found that the witch always spawns in the same spot in the hut for bedrock. This has been mentioned in others tutorials before as well and I've found it to be true. Once you know where that spot is it will be the same on every Bedrock witches hut.

Prowl is one of the best on UA-cam for Minecraft, but when it comes to bedrock, his videos are a must.

I believe that all witch hut witches on Bedrock spawn at the same block location. If you find another hut you know where it'll spawn. I know that on my world it is the exact same block as shown here.

I've found something that I don't remember Prowl mentioning about using the buttons to stop the water flow from the top to the Trident Killer. If you don't stop the water flow the Witches can sort of tread water above the Magma Blocks/Pistons so that you wind up with a few trapped witches, and the buttons prevent that. Also, if anyone has the time and inclination to test it, I was wondering if Packed Ice might be of benefit as the spawning floor. It sounded like there were Witches not getting killed inside my farm, and it could be that they're summoning the spirit of Kevin Bacon to deftly dance atop the moving Pistons, but I thought they might be resisting the water flow and that reduction in floor friction might help out. Once I have some I'm going to sub it in just in case it works.

Just spitballing, but could you replace block next to the pistons in your trident killer with waterlogged stairs flowing inward, then use an Impaling V Trident? Doesn't Bedrock consider all mobs in water to be 'aquatic' for the purpose of Impaling?
No the player has to be in water, so your AFK location could have water in theory
@@Prowl8413 Is that specific to the mechanics of trident killers, because Impaling definitely does extra damage to mobs that are in water when the player is not.

I just found a skeleton, spider and zombie spawner within 30 blocks of one another. Only thing my zombies aren’t spawning. Getting some mad xp
I dismissed this prior to building a Creeper farm tower, which is pretty resource-intensive. Wish I hadn't. Rates aren't that much better for Gunpowder in the Creeper farm, and the variety that you get from the Witch farm combined with its ease and simplicity make it much better, especially early game.
Do you happen to know the rates of the witch farm
@@drasticbubble1223 Sorry, I don't. But I'd suggest looking at some of Silentwisperer's designs. He has a lot of options and I think they all have good rates.
My guess is that the skeletons on the skelly horses probably suffocated the way you started doing when you hopped on it.

I built mine, did the afk platform and everything but I’m only getting like 1 spawn every 5 minutes, is there any way to fix this?
Pro tip: If your witch hut is not already surrounded with land, cover any water nearby with any solid block, light that area, and you should receive substantially higher drops.
Not needed when you AFK at the right height in the air, mobs won't spawn anywhere but tge witch chamber and maybe the few blocks around it
@@Prowl8413 it's not because of mobs having the potential of spawning there, it is so that you make sure that every top block of the chunk the witch hut is in has the ability to spawn a mob, even if it is blocked by light etc. Old guy explains this in his video
@@shuminatormc5469 Seconded. It's not due to the usual mob spawning mechanic but due to the 'special' structure mob spawning system that Bedrock uses. It looks for spawnable blocks within the chunk containing the structure even though they're OUTSIDE of the spawn sphere. It's a bizarre thing and like the poster above says, 0ld Guy describes it well. It is an important step to increase rates (it can be quite dramatic).

I have to say, while the music is certainly nice, i kinda feel a more perhaps relaxed and maybe even more melancholy music would work better for timelapses. Kinda like how the minecraft music is normally if you get what i mean. The terraforming around the witch hut looks soo cool btw. I think the skelatons suffocated in teh blocks when they spawned, so they dissapeared XD

It would be cool if you could create a structure pack of a farm you create that we can down load and then duplicate in our worlds. Don't know if its possible but it would be cool.

@@obeydoc2561 no particular farm, I just thought it would be easier to duplicate a build of a farm if a structure pack was used. Just duplicate the blocks rather than go back and forth between game and video. Would this work with Redstone?
@@rvwithbob structural is still in development so some blocks do not appear as they should within structure when the armor stand is placed but yes Redstone does work
Definitely cringed when Prowl tore down the hut due to the rarity... But to replave it with such a wonderful tower?! I would have to say worth it! BTW, will structura work oj MCPE? I'm sadly purely mobile... :(

For every witch hut that I have done the glass trick with, the witches spawn on the same exact spot.

Now that the simulation distance on bedrock is locked at 10 chunks would I have to build my platform qt what level?
What resource pack are you using then shows the chunk boarder. Would be useful to use it while I make a slime farm

One of your coolest builds I have seen. Unfortunately I need to travel 8000 blocks just to get to a witch hut in my seed. Not sure why the nearest ones are so far away..

Why i can't find any witch hut in bedrock 1.18 on ps4? I tried so many different seeds, and all of them was useless :(

Witches aren’t spawning and it’s blacked out with the 4 blocks and scaffolding there
Note: Prowl says to build 126 blocks up... I found that was too high. silentwhisper's video says 124, maybe that's better?
Well you should make a raid farm you become the totem God I have like 3 shulker boxes full of totems lol

Did you throw it or drop it?
It has to be a fluck. I have 5 trident killers in my world. They stay where they are. No need to take them out when you leave the area.
What setting does he have that shows chunk edge in the upper right corner?

As soon as I start the trident killer the hopper minecart somehow gets destroyed bc of the trident

Ive built my platform at lvl 136 and witches spawning perfect 😁 only question i have if someone is kind enough to reply is, do witches drop potions on bedrock xbox cause im not getting any potions at all 😭😭
yes, they drop whatever they are drinking when you kill them so if you hurt them and kill them while they drink healing then you will get the healing, same with all potions they use like fire resistance and even poison and harming potions, hope this helps!
Use magma cubes for fire potion. Water for breathing and magma blocks for health

Its doesn't matter if its day or night it just has to be light level 0
Structure can be used with multiple structures he only demonstrates one.
Can someone possibly help me, I got the witch spawn point and marked it out, destroyed the hut and made another build used the stone he did around the marked area and trident killer but does not spawn any witch, I have a realm if anyone wants to help
there's a bug in 1.18 that makes witch huts not spawning...

good luck, I would go with ghast farm if you need gunpowder I've tried like 10 different farms none of them are ever efficient enough
