And for a few minutes in time we, who were so privileged to see this eclipse, all felt a deep sense of humbleness & focused on nothing but what our beautiful eyes saw, what our hearts felt, and so thankful we experienced our “once in a lifetime” event.
I cannot thank you enough @FoxNews for this amazing live streamed full video of the Total Solar Eclipse from the technology of NASA. I am a 53 year young woman who saw only one other event like this. I was in the 3rd grade and technology was NOTHING like today. I remember it very well. Our entire school blocked the windows with black construction paper and cancelled recess to protect our eyes. But when the time came, each teacher made a small hole in each sheet of paper, no bigger than the eraser end of a pencil. We were all able to line up and take turns looking through that hole. Sadly, I do not have a visual memory of what I saw. So today, your feed from NASA with music I could relax and meditate with, just blew me away. I know that I will not be alive to see another Total Solar Eclipse in my area. I actually am not even upset about that because of the amazing experience your live streamed feed allowed me to experience. I will cherish this for the rest of my life.
WOW!!!!Unreal.... so i live in NH and today I witnessed....im sorry.... not just witnessed but also felt totality was absolutely mind blown. The feeling of darkness at that time of day and the strangness how being in the path munipulated nature the way it did was magic. For 4 minutes the peepers were peepen. It got ten degrees cooler.... little chill in the air. The birds landed The chicken's went for cover. I found myself tearing up.. My surroundings were absolutely beautiful. How it truly was one of the most humbling 4 minutes of my life.. I was with my daughter as well.. proud she was with me at that moment in time. Really something special. I was not expecting that at all. Truely a blessing .
Indeed. I am so happy that you had a wonderous experience too. Yes, what a great moment and memory you have made with your daughter! I found this whole day special, but those minutes of the eclipse were definitely magical. Our universe is endless and bountiful. Who knows what else we may experience if we just look for it.
Beautiful and humble experience! I saw it from Indiana, perfect weather, the corona and beads were spectacular! I saw the 2017 eclipse in Columbia and that one was shorter and not so dark. Happy you shared the experience with your daughter!
This is why people where lining up around stores to stack up on food and water like there was an apocalypse coming, I’m not disregarding the fact that the solar eclipse was amazing, but it’s not like the world will end!
It's a TOTAL eclipse. Not a just any eclipse. A total is every 20 yrs. Then you have to be in it's PATH. Then you have to hope for good weather. You have be alive for one. The next one is in 2033 should be up towards Alaska. March 25th we had one. But it was not a total eclipse. Some call it the opportunity of a lifetime. We get that it is not your cup of tea. For some, it is. You don't have to like it. Stashing food and drink or bbq'ing is normal as people want to eat, drink and be outside with their sun glasses to enjoy it. Haley's comet is every 70 ish yrs. Some of these events are rare as we don't live forever. Not everyone likes everything every else likes. That's ok. Find what you like. Some older folks left alive might have booked hotels and made reservations even up to 4 yrs in advance to watch it. A total eclipse is not like others. They are considered special to many.
It would be cooler if nasa showed us video of it from space. Considering we supposedly went to the moon 50-60 years ago this should have been done long ago
Footage doesn't do it justice at all. I saw it first hand and it was incredible, one second theres a tiny sliver of blinding yellow, the next a perfect white ring impossible to look away from. It turned to night, solar powered lights came on, animals started freaking out, folks of nighttime birds came out. Words cannot convey how amazing it was, definitely a once in a lifetime experience worth seeing.
Here in Oklahoma the birds in my neighborhood flocked to my bird feeders about thirty seconds before totality and then disappeared. There was no tweeting or singing, total silence. Then about thirty seconds or so after totality they started singing and coming back around like morning time. So the eclipse does affect the birds. At least in Oklahoma. Also I listened to Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon before during and after. A Tulsa Radio station played it and I tuned in. Of course Eclipse was on during the event. Pretty cool.
I think could be regarding to unusual sudden change in light. Happened by me as well especially while observing a crow. I didn't get full coverage because of the clouds. However, I did see the eclipse due to a small break of clouds right in front of my house. Up north from Buffalo,NY.
Thank you for this. Our local TV stations were covering the total eclipse in IN-I live in KY. But they talked so much I didn’t get to see any continuous silent coverage. So grateful we could count on FOX!
