Great job!! My name is Julio Reyes, I'm a guitarist. My dad. my teacher, was a student of Dionicio Basualdo, a student and friend of Barrios. I give lectures at conservatories and universities on "Mangore". Thank you for doing this. I know my dad would be overjoyed at the love that is out there for Barrios.
Te amo Barrios gracias por tanto. Desde los doce años que ejecuto este instrumento y siempre fuiste mi motivación a seguir tocando. Garra guaraní hay una sola 🇵🇾
While Tárrega is considered the Father of classical guitar, arguably as a player, I would say that Barríos was the ultimate virtuoso composer of all time. He extended the complexity of the instrument beyond its previous limits expressed at the end of the Romanza- era
Viva Barrios!!!! Pra Sempre!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍
Alice Artzt told me that she thought too that Llobet,Tarrega and all the historical guitarrists seemed to use this right hand technique but was hard to say just with seing pictures. But now you could confirm this. It´s such an honour to talk with a guitarrist who continues the legacy of this true genius. Greetings from Argentina.
Thanks for your answer.I had asked this to Alice Artzt who use a similar position to Agustín Barrios. She told me the same.It seems a very comfortable position though it´s not used very often. I saw a picture of Barrios where you can see the nails and they seemed very curved which I had understood it´s not good for the tone however despite the poor quality of recording his sound seemed very warm and sweet, like Segovia`s.
Excuse,I´d like to ask you something. What do you know about Agustín Barrios right hand technique? Seems very similar to Segovia´s.Many old photos show Llobet and Tarrega´s right hands very similar to them, even Barrios teacher Gustavo Sosa Escalada.
Yes, all those men use the same RH position, which is different than David Russell and others that maintain their arm and hand straight and don't break at the wrist. My attitude is, you should use whichever position that's comfortable for you. You will have to trim your nails different for both types of positions.

The greatest guitar composer and player ever.

Those fast runs are insane ! Punchy guitar sound ! Best guitar composer and player I’d say ever
Agustin Barrios is the greatest guitarist that ever lived. No doubt.

I am tending to agree.
@@rikjamesguitare There are even better compositions today. The guitar is an ever ending journey
There is no modern guitar composer that even comes close to the level of barrios

Un document précieux et passionnant, qui montre comme Agustín Barríos était plein de dynamisme,de fantaisie...et hors "des sentiers battus"!!
Wow...to hear the original composer do this is simply amazing. I am glad I stumbled onto this today, as I did not know it existed. Many thanks.
Thanks for all of these originals you have posted up. I just discovered them today and am losing my mind at being able to hear the man himself play.
Amazing. His fast runs and scales seem to have more snap to them than even the greatest modern players can muster.
Barrios foi um compositor universal. Sua música atesta esse fato.
Amazing Guitarist and composer of all time.
Magnífico,gracias x subir el audio
Wonderful, one of the best pieces ever heard. Thanks for posting it.

Hands down G.O.A.T.
I always wonder about these recordings: is he tuned down to Eb, or do these run a little SLOWER than his actual playing? 😱
It's just the very low quality resolution of this recording

That's not what he's asking.
Doesn’t it seem that the speed is increased by increased by like 10%

what's going on with how he is dressed in this pic?
it's a folcloric paraguayan clothing. He used to perform like this sometimes
@@TantoFaz13!!.. C'était beaucoup plus que du folklore pour Agustín Barríos :une façon de marquer son attachement à la cause Guarani.
The real is slower right?
Não, é só impressão sua.
Only Barrios is better than Mangore.he is like chopin for the piano

But certainly one of the best composers for the guitar..
