Just an FYI, anytime I mention something that I dont know about is probably in the Madden games. I just don't play Madden enough anymore to know or bother.

Glad you like the Coverage Shells. Coverage Shells was an idea that I posted on the Madden 24 Beta Feedback forum last year. My Coverage Shells idea was well received as I earned the Highest XP Author during the beta. Coverage Shells was one of the Top 5 topics during the beta. I originally asked for the Shells to be in Madden 25, of course EA Sports is using them in EA Sports College Football 25. Hopefully the Coverage Shells makes it to Madden 25 as well! I still have the emails that I received during the Beta Feedback.
Pretty cool. I just pre-ordered the deluxe version. I'm hoping to use those extra few days to play of course but to also start capturing playbooks for my site.
The C is the running back's assignment on check and release routes. Notice how both the route and the C icon are both purple, so basically if the player with the C blitzes, the back picks him up, and if he doesn't blitz, the back will release into his route. It's also in madden if you were wondering

I actually think i may end up liking the abilities feature. Only the top tier players are going to have Platinum level abilities and that is pretty realistic in my opinion. I only worry about the balancing of said feature.

30:20 I don't think that this is too unrealistic. The best qbs know when guys are blitzing based on film study and experience. You couldn't blitz Peyton Manning without him pointing it out to your face pre snap. Also this ability won't be given to every quarterback im pretty sure only pocket passer archetypes can even learn the ablity.

I believe the 2 signifies the safety is in Cover 2. 4’s will indicate cover 4, etc.
I also believe the team/state names next to the players are the states they are from. Not sure that’s info I really need there, but I believe that’s what that is.

20:00 The throw meter doesn’t work like Madden’s. It’s not a “perfect timing” kind of thing. It works like the throw meter in MVP baseball where the longer you hold the harder you throw, but yellow and red will increase the chances you miss your spot

The letter c about the Defensive player, probably indicates that he is the conflict player

I wonder if they’re going to have the GoGo offense in this game, Brandon Marion OC at UNLV offense. If so that would be awesome, if not I want to use a playbook editor if I can move players around and create it. It’s mostly known for the 2 halfbacks being on the same side of the qb and is really good for rpo, read option plays. Love it! You should do a film study on the GoGo offense Coach Al!
That is a neat offense and it may be in there, but I doubt custom playbooks will go that deep with it. I think the most we can do is just pick existing formations and plays to create a playbook.

Yeah, I prefaced that in the prefaced that in the pinned post. I'm sure there are several things I mentioned that are also in Madden I didn't know about. I don't play it enough to know if things are truly new or not because of that.
Man I wish they had export draft class or situational mode. I know we can use team builder to make historic rosters and fcs schools. But I hope they add create a fan again too or heisman show. The player abilities and injury thing may not be necessary as well.
The C is for the check and release the rb was running. The C identifies the defender he’s checking
I think they said that even if you unlock that ability you wont have it all the time.
24:54 - I don't think these are typo's. I believe that's the state where the player is from. Mafah is from Georgia, Ewers and Sturdivant are from Texas and Taylor is from Florida. Though it is odd to have it listed there for some reason.
I'm not a fan of the "player abilities", but that's just me.
Yeah, seems odd to have their home state listed there. And yes, player abilities worry me a bit.
@PlaybookGamer the home state is listed for immersion. You know the team they are on but where are they from is not always as easy to remember. I think for streamers it will be a great tool.
The abilities as they said will not always be active and may not always work. I think a lot of ppl who played said they felt it was not game breaking

I have an idea: would it be possible for you to start your first College Football 25 Dynasty online? Watching your NCAA 06 series can be frustrating at times, especially with the poor QB play by the CPU in your Syracuse Dynasty. This is particularly surprising given that NCAA 06 is known for some of the best QB play in the series. Since you're highly skilled it would make a dynasty more interesting and challenging for you the player It could also be more entertaining for your fans also this could be a way to get people to pay for the website I would pay for the deluxe package if it meant I could play against you in a 32 player dynasty mode. You know? I think it’d be great to see it even if it’s not me playing against you it’d make your content better in my opinion
I don't want to rely on others to do their part in the dynasty so I can advance to the next week. It's easier if I do it all offline, I control the timing that way. I'm sure the game will provide a challenge for quite awhile without the help of others.
And sorry if my Syracuse dynasty is boring you. I won't apologize for being good at the game though. I talk above coverages and other things in great detail to help others get better. I just can't help it if I'm that good at it. It's not for everyone.
@@PlaybookGamer fair enough reason Al keep doing what your doing, I’m not bored it’s more I like to see the struggle of a dynasty before it becomes great but that’s my opinion and your always a good watch. And it just threw me off that your already 3-0 but we will see where the conference schedule will go
@@realcoleholland I wish at times my team would play bad like their rating, but we're winning the turnover battle, seeing favorable matchups, and haven't played super tough teams yet. Akron is the most talented team we've faced and they're just a B-.
And I hate to say it, but don't expect the conference schedule to be elite. That was my only reservation for picking Syracuse, the Big East isn't very strong. Maybe in season 2 I can load up the non-confrence games like I did with Akron and lose some early lol.
Pretty sure the C is the cutback defender, but it's been awhile since I've thought about that read in Madden (I typically only care about designating the Mike defender).
I don't think there's typos in the wear and tear screenshot - the states listed are the player's home states. Not sure why that needs to be shown on the wear and tear screen though.
The player abilities thing is something that is neat in Madden but the community is super divided that I've seen. It make sense that you honed in on Field General - the ability to see coverages has been in Madden abilities since Madden 09 I think and it has always been busted - Peyton Manning used to be able to see the defensive shell pre-snap and that made it so he was damn unstoppable on offense. Modern Madden doesn't even assign it to any QBs (though you can slap it on drafted QBs). It was actually so broken that for a while you could turn off specifically the abilities that let you see coverages (defense had one for MLBs too).
Ultimately, superstar abilities are usually pretty broken in Madden IMO. I enjoy them, but it's partially something that I always felt like they threw in to make broken players desirable in MUT.
Yeah, I hope player abilities aren't too overcooked in this game.

My guess is yes but not sure. I know you can't edit some aspects of real players such as name and likeness. We'll find out soon enough.
