In Gaziantep, we indulged in iconic Turkish dishes at Imam Çağdaş: crispy lahmacun topped with minced meat, balloon-like copa bread, and cheesy Turkish bread. The Alinazik kebab, a blend of kebab, yogurt, eggplant, and garlic, was a true culinary masterpiece, while the juicy küşleme, served with greens inside bread, was a standout. We wrapped up with a refreshing Ayran, the perfect finale.
Later, I explored an incredibly old mansion, the oldest I’ve ever seen, where the owner and his wives live together. Sipping Turkish tea in this historic setting was an unforgettable experience.
Our journey continued at Tahmis Kahvesi, a charming, centuries-old coffee house. Here, the aromatic Turkish coffee and the soothing sounds of boiling samovars, along with special hookahs, made for a truly memorable visit.
