Maybe at the end of every year u should take all the clips of each department and make a huge compilation of all the clips of that department u filmed. Like all the clips you filmed of Urgences-Sante you put them all in one video at the end of each year.

+chris jordan I actually don't, there are a lot of them and I usually don't listen to any scanners, so I don't really have any use for memorizing them.

Is it me or do the "older" GM ambulances the the square lights that oscillate opposite of each other on the inside on the front and outside on the rear have more visibility than the "newer" ambulances which just have the normal storbes? On a side note I just noticed they use the same siren in both that the FDNY does! Federal Signal MS4000?
+Jesse Jacobs Personally, I prefer the newer ambulances because not only are the flash patterns different, but the lights are made by Whelen and are a lot brighter than the older ones. It all comes down to preference, though. Yes, they use the same siren! It's the Federal Signal PA4000. Thanks!
2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 Have Federal lighting with half half in out and rotating X pattern. 2015 have Whelen in out in the front and updown X pattern on the sides and up down in the back. The small white LED in the middle flashes separate and on the 2015 flashes simultaneously when used. (originally the white was only supposed to be activated seperate when the unit becomes a incident command if they are first on the scene at a mass casualty). There are about 30 new Ford E350V10 gas units coming soon. (Laval)These units are going to be smaller, with a different configuration both inside and out. After 2020 there will be even more changes and most likely the Ford Transit will become the new unit for all of Quebec.
+Gary Star Interesting! What makes you think that the Ford Transit will become the model of choice in the future? It seems like Urgences-Santé is heading towards Mercedes-Benz, what with their brand-new Sprinter Command Post. I live them better than the Transits too 😟 ...
Starting this year, the government of Quebec will mass order one type of model for all Ambulances services. There were 2 Mercedes Sprinters that were tested for more than 3 years on the south shore. The tests were non conclusive. There will be more types of tests. Sprinter is comfortable in the front, but has a very poor suspension, lots of down time, and the dealer network is limited to big cities. Mercedes wants to do all the maintenance which causes fleet mangers a headache. Ford transit costs less, has less down time, however has a limited payload, which causes a problem, but Ford has dealers everywhere in Quebec. The changes are for all services in Canada. in the USA larger truck chassis like Freightliner and International are used, as well as pickup type front ends, and very small vans including Transit and Sprinter. Tests will continue.
Canadian and American EMS systems are different for many reasons. In Canada, services are gov't provided and each province has similar types of Ambulances. In the USA, there are several different delivery models, Fire based EMS, private, county, hospital, volunteer etc... What is the same, is the patients, and the medical emergencies
