- From December 1980, Glen Campbell & Tanya Tucker sing "It Must Have Been the Mistletoe". This sounds so good, it's too bad they didn't release this song as well as a Christmas album! Minnie Pearl appears at the end. According to song co-writer Justin Wilde, this was the very first performance of the song on TV, four years before Barbara Mandrell recorded the song.

I remember watching this whole special, "Country Christmas with Minnie Pearl," especially when Glen and Tanya were riding in the horse drawn sleigh. When she laid her head on his shoulder, looking up at him you could see the love in her eyes. A little girl, looking up at the man she just adored so much! So sad the way they fell apart! They just made an adorable couple!
My parents had a country Christmas album with Barbara Mandrell's version of this song. It's always been one of my favorites, it's so romantic!
This version is beautiful because it's a duet and Tanya's voice is amazing!
I still hate that their relationship ended like it did. Glen's friends even said when he was doing coke he was a different man with a temper. Tanya was a party girl but I do believe they loved each other. The age difference I'm sure played a part as well as booze. She loved him without a doubt. He moved on and lived a more quiet life. Sad he is gone. Glad she is still around.
He had a more quiet life, but who knows how he really felt?
Where shadows never fall
Wow no comment yet so beautiful two people who definitely were meant to be together always; so sad the relationship ended far too soon
It is sad their relationship ended too soon, but they both created happiness in different directions. It's wonderful that the recent months have given us pause to relook at both artists' work and huge gift to all of us through their music--together and individually.
Wonderful. Mucic video
They even harmonize together
She was a child when Glen was dating her .. She Loved him but I don't think Glen was ready to commit to anybody . Such a shame, The look of love is in her eyes ..
