@@kaze7227 Same here and you'll also get a 1-up in the process! In the freezing-rain tower level for the 2nd star coin, it's best to be in ice form for it. Freeze the dry bones before it and slide it into the coin. No need to dash for it and potentially lose a life. Plus, if I were to do explanations of them myself, it would be all easy explanations for all star coins for this game, New super Luigi U and New super Mario bros part 1

For 15:19 you can use the koopa shell to hit the urchins and you can get into the pipe easily.

Great Mario game! It's up there with SMB3 and Super Mario World. A few minor changes and this could be the best 2D Mario of all-time. A: Add music so that it isn't the same as New Super Mario Bros. Wii; B: The Frog Suit from SMB3; and finally C: How about some ShyGuys in addition to Koopa Troopas, Goombas, and the like?

An alternative way is to use yoshi to spit out an ice ball towards the top piranha plants to eliminate all of them, but i guess you have the star coin now

There were never 2... play the game next time. He could've said, "All levels had 3 star coins".
I think he did it because videos with more than 1 level seem to just be pasted from the 1 level videos, I think he takes these videos and puts them together without cutting anything, so he still has the part where he says that. It looks to me me like that.

The spine coaster is one of my favorite levels and Meringue Clouds is my least favorite, the castle is so hard even without trying to get star coins and my favorite world is sparkling waters

Acorn plains - castle
You can also get the second star coin with a well-timed wall jump if you don’t have the flying squirrel power up.
Layer cake desert - 1
You can snag the third star coin simply by dropping into the bottom of the sand spout while it is active to avoid dropping into the pit.
Sparkling waters - 4
Alternatively, to get the second coin, you can run up the water spout as mini Mario. You can also get the third star coin by firing the koopa shell at the sea urchins and running across the water spouts. No need for mini or damage.
Frosted Glacier - fortress
You can get the second star coin by firing a frozen dry bones at it.
Meringue clouds - 6
The first star coin can also be accessed by going backwards from the above platform, though it’s a bit riskier.
Peach’s castle - 1
The second coin can also be accessed as baby Mario by using a fireball to break through the blocks.
The third can be accessed via a thrown frozen boney beetle.
Peach’s castle - 2
The second coin can be collected by breaking the blocks with super Mario. This will stop the mini goombas from taking over the boat.
Peach’s castle - castle 1
The first coin can also be found by travelling through the lightning bolts.
The second coin is covered with blocks which can be blown up by a bobomb as well.

Here's a cool bit. If you look closely inside the Secret Island's Toad House on New Super Mario Bros. U, you can see a lot of power-ups, brick blocks,Yoshi eggs, Layer-Cake Desert's statue, and even flags with Mario, Luigi, the two Toads, and Bowser's symbol on them.
But the biggest cool bit of all is that the ceiling has Nabbit's (or King Dedede's) symbol on it. Plus, there's Bowser Jr.'s (or Nabbit's) scarf on the board there.

People most likely already know this, but for the star coins that you need squirrel Mario for, you can also get them with they pink baby Yoshi or propeller suit, but that one is more late game

You're good. In every adventure game of Mario, you have to play as Mario if youre Player 1, If you're Player 2, You have to play as Luigi or someother character.
