Before T20 WC Hardik was selected on a condition that he has to bowl also. 4.) “Aisa mana jaa raha tha..” Sirf mana jaa raha tha, kidhar bhi koi official announcement nahi tha. The selectors are Experts and they do not judge based on only 1 parameter. And 1 parameter includes a feedback from other players and staff where Hardik has faced a severe rejection from Junior, Senior players and coaching staffs. Definitely Hardik have performed above expectations but ONLY Hardik has not performed alone. He plays well under someone else’s captaincy but he has not proved himself as a good captain.
Feeling bad for Hardik but these things happen with many players. There can be only 1 captain out of 11 players. There are always 3-4 captaincy candidates in every team but only 1 gets chance to be long term captain. Sadly Hardik will come in those 3-4 players who were once a candidate but could never be captains. Indian team is looking for a long term captaincy option in Shubhman Gill. Its a risk that can reward you or can destroy you but what is life without risk. Wish best of luck to Shubhman Gill.
