Little tip I notice any time your darts hits another it drops out, scuff your points up with a bit of sandpaper, preferably the fine grit. Just about the first half of the point just twist the sandpaper round the point, it will grip the board so much they won't drop out.
Honestly thank god I watched this video I have been a darts fan for a bit now but didn’t play very regularly so got away with changing my grip every throw but now I play and practice on the regular but still didn’t have a grip and honestly Gerwyn Price grip from the start of this video is top notch can’t recommend it enough
I'm trying to get back into the game, I did for years master the taylor phase 5 dart throw, love the way he did it, I also for some reason cracked the whitlock style using his darts, great chanel
For me the nuke throw worked perfectly (i started copying it during the matchplay 2023 when i saw video of him) and since then i improved my game from 40-50 to a level of 55-70 in like 5 months (that was pure grinding btw) but it surely didnt make me worse and i developed through with it
I have a ‘pre throw routine’ I’ll position myself in line with the middle of the board then all of my shoulder elbow and wrist have to look parallel to my eye line then I pull back and release sounds weird but does alright for me sometimes lol 😂
Luke littlers throw does work, for him! That's why it's his throw, everyone in every spot tries to emulate people when being the best self they can would be much better..
Form us temporary class is permanent. You have a passion and love for the game mate and I'm sure once you get the niggle sorted be it surgery or not I'm sure we will see you on another stage in the not so distant future keep up the great work
Interestingly Luke's throw is exactly how I hold my dart - I never realized! I like having 2 fingers on the barrel but I also like having a finger under the point, for some reason I feel it gives the dart stability! Sadly I don't throw as well as Luke :D
My grip is the same as Littler’s but instead of bringing it towards my eye and then round I am just straight up to the side of the cheek and push the dart forwards. Interestingly it’s also how I hold a pen, I know weird 😂
