Ben Whittaker is definitely a future world champion,no matter who’s there. He’s got speed, devastating power, and lands viscous punches when he’s ready. He also manifests impressive combinations. He has a great chin and can be highly elusive. Many world champions don’t have those attributes. What his critics foolishly forget is behind many great champions showboating there is genuine talent there.Muhammad Ali,and Sugar Ray Leonard are the main ones that spring to mind. Both Ali and Leonard were Olympic athletes they had great chins, lightning speed, fast hands and feet,on top of this they had knock out power in both hands.Which part of those talents don’t you recognise in Ben Whittaker. He will know when to switch off the showboating, and get serious and come for the opponent. He has shown that already.
Whittaker "clowns too much, and he's disrespectful", but at the end of the bout his opponents are unconscious on the floor. I don't see the problem here. Should he perhaps be more courteous before knocking these guys silly? Stop hatin' the drunken style folks. It's a strategy that most boxers can't execute. Just enjoy his performance.
His a real deal, enjoy his unique skills and syles getting everyone on-their toes,..gussing what next..and charming display he is showing.. He is a real champion prospect.
All that’s happening is his movement is unusual to the opponents it’s the first time they’ve come up against a show off but after watching him a good trainer and boxer will find answers to his style, his style sets the pace and dictates what the opponent is going to do as they haven’t got a game plan that counter acts his movement and they end up frustrated at their failure
You live by the antics, you die by the antics. If he is wanna showboating but back that up, I don't care. I'd rather have him showboating and have fun in the ring than being a loudmouth and total ahole like Briggs...
Ben is the reason why I can’t sit and watch a full boxing match and enjoy watching it. That first dude who commented I can see your life is a sad one. I can see you prefer a boxing match where only the trainers are making noise while the crowd is asleep smh
Real deal. Soon as YOU find out what works best to land, so does HE. He can adapt and modify styles as much as any opponent. The key is to watch what he’s doing when he isn’t hamming it up. He’s an elite student of the craft and remains in excellent condition. THAT is when opponents should be terrified. The dancing has NOTHING - repeat - NOTHING to do with his ability to knock people smooth out. He like Ahmed is formidable. If he never danced, would people say he’s been “found out” after being a silver medalist and undefeated? No. He’d be called “a promising and formidable young prospect”. If his “dancing” dissuades you by coloring your opinion of him, then he’s in your head. Now, what do you think he’s doing in the other fighter’s head considering he’s whoopin tf out of all of them? 🤔
Joe Lewis was once asked about fighters who liked to dance against him. Him said that he would hammer away with body shots, and that would stop them dancing. I noticed none of Whittaker's opponents aim for the body. Maybe it's easier said than done.
To me, boxing is moving in rhythms. I swing these thangs to a beat in my head depending on how I'm performing at the time. That sh!t would probably throw me off not being able to hit him, and you never fight mad. I like him👊🏾
Lost at Olympics, Worlds, and European games, mostly close, except the Azeri at Euros dominated him. I think he’s very talented, and showboats because he can, and he’s smart enough to stop when he meets better competition. Also think he’s fluid style lends itself to the appearance of showboating even when he’s not. Time will tell
Although he has fun and is very flashy and takes an unconventional approach to the sport he can actually box when he fights an opponent that can cut the ring off take a punch and not get frustrated you’ll see that he’s a real good boxer
OK, his boxing style is very impressive, entertaining, and imposing with a good current (7/5KO) record. Could he be a future contender for Beterbiev, Bivol, Callum Smith, Yarde, etc?
@@biggieyorke8415 He reminds me of "THE PRINCE" or the "DRUNKEN" fighter but as a Light Heavyweight. Would like to see how the more advance boxers respond to his style!

Close. He is special. Has it all. But his defense and showboating need to tighten up and slow down a bit, respectively.
One of the things I learnt from doing martial arts is that the objective is to beat your opponent with your skills and tactics. Showboating and humiliation doesn’t even feature and in fact, in most tournaments it would get you disqualified.
Ahh fairplay to em 😅 I'd calm it down a bit in all fairness out of respect. To early to write him off yet. See how his defence, punch resistance & power look vs improved opponents. He's catching the eye
He is such a Character, just being himself, his own style and loving it makes it Soooo much fun and enjoyment watching him. I wouldn't care if he lost a fight, of course not wishing that but the ride he draws you into and takes you on, is worth it alone. Keep being you no matter what. Only God owns the copy rights to you.
@@williamevegan7129 Of course, the impressive one will get a lot of attention and will make some money fights, but anyone with SOLID boxing principals, if you know what I mean, will obliterate this clown for real.
I think some people will have a slightly different impression of the match with Willings if they look at the match as a whole. Whittaker made a lot of moves, but in the middle of the round he was hit by Willies, who was defending well, and there was a moment where he stopped moving for a moment.
