Bahrain should get at least 10 americans to step up their team
They should've had the courtesy to put JORDAN and CHINA in Asia's Pre-OQT (Korea & Taiwan backed out).
CHINA would actually fare well in OQT and would atleast have slim-to-legit chance in making the Olympics.
Their young guys recently competed well against legit NBA guys of Australia, even without Zhang, Zhao Rui & Zhou Qi...
Just because they were one of those bottom dwellers during the last WC, doesn't mean that they should automatically be out of contention for the Olympics or atleast the OQT. I'm from Philippines btw and China is considered as our rivals but I'm just being logical here. FIBA removed those "wildcards" (Slovenia and Latvia as examples in 2021) and replaced it with continental pre-OQT tournaments to provide equal chances for other countries but the gap between Asians compared to Europeans and Americans is so apparent. RHJ could make their stint a little bit more exciting atleast, compared to this Bahrain team which tbh doesn't have any business in this kind of tournament.

@@matthewjosephcabungcal5047 the Pre-OQT was the same time as the World Cup. If you can't avoid being one of the worst 5 teams in the world cup you don't deserve to be in this tournament. How about Iran then?

@@gabepizza Oh right i totally forgot about the dates (and they can't move them further than August too cause they're trying to hold it during offseason of mother leagues), as well as Iran. Anyway, I'd choose em anyday than teams like Bahrain, Syria, India, etc...
So I guess this gon be a tradition where one subpar Asian team would crack an OQT slot cause Asian teams (most likely) would still lose alot in the WC. Well atleast not today, we beat #6 Latvia, w/o Zagars though.

Bahrain has no business being in the OQT 😂
For some confuse why Bahrain got qualify on OQT, their was a last chance qualifying tournament for other Asian powerhouses teams like South Korea and Chinese Taipei but both of them back out of the qualifying tournament. The winner of that tournament is Bahrain.

Why is Bahrain even invited in the OQT? They can’t even win here in Asia
they win a pre qualify tournament for Asia, nobody is invited for this kind of event.
They won Asian OQT. But in that OQT didn't played China, Iran, Jordan, South Korea and Taiwan. They have beaten Saudi Arabia(+15), Kazakhstan(+37), Syria(+31), Indonesia(+23) and India(+13). So, in that tourney every team would be trash...

Yeah they won the Asia prequalifiers. Asia is super weak and all the best teams made the World Cup so these were the Asian teams who couldn’t even qualify for the World Cup so the worst of the worst. And to make it worse the best team left, South Korea, pulled out so the tournament was a joke. They had to beat like India, Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan 😂

Bahrain have enough money to bring players from abroad and naturalise them, I mean they did do the same thing to 1 million people in order for for the ruling family to have a majority of their own sect. Wouldn’t be surprised is next tournaments we have players who are Bahrainis with names like Jose, Herman and such.

Nanalo sila sa FIBA Pre-OQT last year ginanap yun 1 week bago yung FIBA World Cup. Nakapasok sila kasi di naglaro yung Korea.
