  • Ztrack Distribution shows how to make minor adjustments to ROKUHAN’s R039 left hand turnouts. This how-too video shows how to make a minor adjustment to these Z scale turnouts to overcome locomotives running through the turnout. While rare, this is happening on some late 2022 Rokuhan R039 turnouts.

I am having this exact problem. I am new to this hobby and find this very frustrating for a newbie to deal with. A first my loco (no cars) was derailing. Now the loco (no cars) runs through forward and reverse. But if I add one box car for example, the box car derails while the loco stays on course and pushes through. Note: I am trying to back through the turn with the box car which is the opposite of what you are doing in the video. What about if you set your train facing the other way - can you back through your repaired turnout as per the video fix?

Since this video came out, more details came out about these turnouts. They appear to be from the 'gray market'. We are unable to verify the source or quality of these turnouts. We are NOT seeing these issues on turnouts we have been receiving directly from Rokuhan.

I'll check mine as they go in. Question what do you use to bore through the plywood in order to run the switch leads with their square plastic heads down and over to a transformer. I want to avoid stripping and manually reattaching if possible

What I do is actually drill a hole about the size of the plug UNDER the turnout. The wire then drops through the hole, and the turnout then covers the opening. It works great!
