First off other than a special case as hers where instability broke out in the old country, you wouldn't want to be a diplomat if your intention is to adjust to permanent residency. It's impossible. Even kids born of diplomats in America are not us citizens. U can't work or go to school on diplomatic visas unless your home country is paying for it.
