GhostBed Pros: cool, firm and edge support. Cons: latex bouncy feel, motion transfer and no coils. The cons here are dealbreakers for me. Thanks 😊 Martin !
I tried a talalay latex and did not like it. I don’t know how the two compare. The Ghost Bed would be to firm for me. I am a lightweight strict side sleeper
Was deciding with ghost and Casper from Costco. Sale going on. Thanks. I’m getting the Casper. My bed in box which I love but cover already coming apart. Atleast with Casper It had a zipper. It’s did it’s job for 5 years. Time for a meeting one!
This is my first time seeing the ghost bed. I like the ventilation in the top layer and the cooling gel in the comfort layer, but it is probably too firm for me. I still like the purple mattress and will be considering that one soon. Thanks Martin!
In review of all foam beds, I'd still prefer a hybrid mattress. The bed appears to be firmer than my preference and as a combination back and side sleeper, need a bed with a softer pillow top feel. Thanks
Every time I think I have found the mattress for me ,I see another review and sway yet again-lol.I like that Ghostbed is affordable and responsive (wish it was hybrid-hubby insists on coils)
i like the 4 layers including the breathable cover...i like that it sleeps cool. I also like that it is firmer than average. Might be a bit too firm for side sleepers but I would give this GhostBed a try with the 101 night trial
1 year update on ghostbed memory foam. I weigh 235lbs and the centre of the mattress has collapsed. When first purchased I immediately noticed it was softer than what I’m used to.
@@ryanjones7543 I don’t have the original box or packaging material. I didn’t have a good experience with the company to begin with. After placing the order I changed my mind and they would not cancel or refund so I just accepted it. It’s lessons learned. Frankly I can’t imagine any mail order mattress can compete with a proper mattress shop.
I did enjoy comparing to other mattresses but I would have rather liked a video comparing the different mattresses that GhostBed makes and which ones are best for which sleepers.
This is an interestingly constructed mattress because of the addition of synthetic latex. I don't think I've seen a mattress that has both memory foam (and a base foam) and latex, even if synthetic. Latex and memory foam feel very different---latex is bouncy, memory foam is slow responding. That's an interesting mix, and curious as to its feel in person. Thanks.
Yep, definitely too firm for me as a side sleeper and I need better isolation. I do like that it has a combination of latex and memory foam. The cooling features are a plus. Thx for the review Marten.
Rizknows rates the firmness more towards middle ground (5-6.5) and also suggests it's good for back/side/stomach/combo sleepers. It seems the two of you had a different experience. Also, the bed has a 20yr warranty. Shouldn't you expect the bed to last the full 20 years, not just 5, 7, or 10?
Is it okay to take out of it's shipping box, but still leave it rolled up in it's plastic wrapping for a few weeks before getting the bed we'll be putting it on?
I prefer a squishy feel. I'd give up the cooling for comfort. I'd just go with cooling sheets, and a bed with less motion transfer and mor pressure relief.
I sadly bought into that "firm is best" business the last time I bought a mattress, which we've had for far too long. If even the memory foam mattresses are described as medium firm, that frustrates the crap out of me. Tell me it's firm and I don't want it, but the word "firm" keeps coming up over and over. I want something I can sink into, something soft. Can any of these bed in box mattresses do that?
I'm a side sleeper so I don't think I'd like this mattress, I'm guessing that they made the mattress firmer on purpose to try and prevent sink in that could make the sleeper hotter.
Do do do do do do do- Ghost bed... sign me up! (Edit) it may be too firm - as I am a side sleeper. Thanks Martin! I think it may be Casper for the WIN (of these two options)
Y’all beware... god forbid you don’t like your GhostBed like my wife and I and then the customer service goes away. Just crickets... trying to do a return on our 3D matrix and we can’t get ahold of anyone. Then the disable us on social media once we start calling them out on it. Not enjoying the GhostBed experience at all!!!!
Unfortunately I don’t think this would be a good mattress for me. I’m extremely glad I watched this review. I’m a heavier person like you, and I’m 240lbs. And I’m a side sleeper with a heavy partner as well. So motion transfer is an issue. Doesn’t seem like a good fit for us at all unfortunately. And we like a softer feel for sure. So it’d be too firm for us and would put too much pressure on our shoulders and hips.
Ghostbed to me is a basic good bed, great for kids or guest bed. BUT too firm for me as a side sleeper. Do not hate. or love it. This Casper is not my cup of tea either. Thanks for the reviews.
The ghost bed has an F rating from the Better Business bureau. They often do not honor their return policy even when it's well within the return window. Fortunately if you have the chain of emails showing they lied your credit card company will reverse the charge. These people are crooks.
Run far away from GhostBed. They’re a slippery company that does not stand behind their product or their return policy. Check out their F rating on BBB (GhostBed, Plantation, FL)

Love the idea of cooling.. I'm not a super hot sleeper, but I prefer to be cool
The latex with holes with a gel memory foam is appealing as I’m a hot, combo sleeper. However I do prefer a “soft” feel on top with medium support.
GhostBed Pros: cool, firm and edge support. Cons: latex bouncy feel, motion transfer and no coils. The cons here are dealbreakers for me. Thanks 😊 Martin !
You're welcome!
I love memory foam, but i always liked the Ghostbed for its combo of the latex and memory foam. Seems like a comfy bed

The responsiveness seems great but I am not convinced that the holes in the top foam will keeo me cool enough.
I like a firmer mattress. I am so hot natured and the cooling gel sounds great!
This is my first time seeing the ghost bed. I like the ventilation in the top layer and the cooling gel in the comfort layer, but it is probably too firm for me. I still like the purple mattress and will be considering that one soon. Thanks Martin!
Glad you like it!

Awesome review dude! 👏
Thanks a ton!

Divorce
Ghostbed is an interesting mattress. I don't recall seeing synthetic latex very often.
I like that this one is estimated to last up to 10 years.....works for me!
I like the ghost bed for the tshirt. If it came free with the mattress I probably would have gotten it 🤷♂️
From the GhostBed mattresses we have received, they actually do send a free t-shirt in their boxes. It is a REALLY soft t-shirt as well!
@@Mattressclarity their website makes it seem like it’s sold separately. 🤷♂️. Such a cool (😬) shirt though
I like the cooling effect and support this mattress has to offer but I think this would be a tad too firm for me since I’m a side sleeper.
Love the first layer, looks like it would disperse body heat efficiently
It doesn’t work.
i like the 4 layers including the breathable cover...i like that it sleeps cool. I also like that it is firmer than average. Might be a bit too firm for side sleepers but I would give this GhostBed a try with the 101 night trial
I like the level 8 firmness and the fact that it’s good for hot sleepers but I’m a combination sleeper so not sure if it would be the best choice.
Combination sleeper?
Did you ever get a new bed?

Did you return it? Man that sucks
@@ryanjones7543 it’s well past the 121 day trial and even that’s BS. Just wanted to share my experience as a heavy sleeper.
@@MarkSvara I figured they'd replace it since it is clearly faulty

I think I need that ghost bed
Ohhhh this seems great. I'm a side sleeper who sleeps hot and has back pain and neck pain. I also hate sinking in.

Please review Ghostbed Natural! I cannot find one anywhere on this latex hybrid bed! Thank you!

Thanks for the review. As a side sleeper thats always cold, this isn't for me
Great video
Is this good? I just ordered.
I am reading online about people going through nightmares trying to return these mattresses and the company is misrepresenting its return policy
I don't think the Ghost Bed would work well for me since I like a softer mattress & I'm a heavier side sleeper.
