Thanks for the helpful videos, I have a question not related to the video, about which portfolio type is better for a translator pdf one or website one? Thanks in advance
Hi there, I'd say a pdf one is more common, it's the norm. But if you can have a dedicated private website link with your portfolio, that would be very cool. That would add a unique angle, not many people have that.
Hi Adrian, thank you for making this video. I have a question that's not related to NDA's. I wondered do you know about how much the highest translators make? And what type of translation do they specialize in? Thank you, have a great day
Hi there, oh that is a tough one, there is really no limit :) Some colleagues make 50k a year, others make 80k, others 100k, others 150k. I saw a stat that said the average of freelance translators in the US is 50k. Not sure what to make of that, but it gives you a ballpark. The highest paid translators will be the ones specializing in a highly premium field that allows no room for errors like medical devices, high value machinery, financial markets, legal documents etc.
Thanks for watching this week's video! Have you already made experiences with NDAs yourself?
This is a hot topic! Yes, you need to ask questions if you have any doubts.
Thank you for the previous information.
I'm always cautious with these kinds of documents.
Thanks for your comment, Mel!
@@Freelanceverse you are more than welcome Adrian. It takes time to make a video. A comment is required 😊
