I enjoyed your interview and it was very informative and that is a beautiful town. I think the expat was sincere in her answers, and she spoke in her perspective, which were her experiences living in Italy. If we want to be honest and logical every country, every city, towns have its pros and cons.
We all should be open minded when visiting a foreign country. Thanks

Another great interview. Frascati looks lovely. I like the questions you ask. I was wondering if the good medical experience was in Frascati or Rome? Thank you

You forget many hitech content sectors where Italy is world top, sometimes leader such as mechanics, robotics, chemestry, pharmaceutical, space technology , military industry , telecomunications...Olivetti invented modern PC and Was one of leading world companies untill '80s before Gates and Jobs. Official datas show that italian working time is higher than northernn countries, and private debt is way way lower. Among the higest savings in the world.

Italia è “Un popolo di poeti, di artisti, di eroi, di santi, di pensatori, di scienziati, di navigatori, di trasmigratori”. Italy is "A Land of poets, artists, heroes, saints, thinkers, scientists, navigators and transmigrators". Which is of course part of what makes so many people want to come here. Thanks for watching!

@@realexpatslivinginitaly Unfortunately, a century ago and after WW2, millions of Italian southerners (Neapolitans, Sicilians, etc.) emigrated. But since there is Hollywood in the USA, and Hollywood films are usually not masterpieces, they do a lot of propaganda to make the world believe that Americans are super soldiers, that every American has a huge 2-storey house with a fenced garden and garage (even the black workers🤣) TV movie about super technological police, the country districts even with the swat, CSI, TV movie, not they regulated themselves, they had the lightsaber 😁) on healthcare, super efficient, but if you don't have 2000 euros, a medicine, and they leave you on the street if you are in compliance) Skyscrapers but they gloss over poverty, and the same about stereotypes about countries, unfortunately the world only sees Hollywood films because they are effervescent, spectacular, but now the Italian is a mafioso, or a pizza chef, who gesticulates, shouts, always the mother, this is what I wanted to say, in central and northern Italy they are (almost) like Germany , but the south is more like Greece, Portugal and a good part of Spain (with the addition of the mafia base) I say so, because in Germany only the Italian mafia invoices and is in the German system with 50 BILLIONS OF DOLLARS! IF YOU PUT THE TURKEY IN IT, THE ALBANES E😁😁

8:46 Typical foreigner sentence: "…. the shops are shut at lunchtime, so it’s quite dead… yeah..". It's not DEAD, it's quiet!
And the reason there are so many “geriatrics” is because they didn't die younger.

    • @realexpatslivinginitaly

I love quiet. But you can understand from a young person's point of view. I have Italian friend's who would say the same thing. And 'geriatric' time of day, came from one of those Italian friends!
