The 90's was when gangs were really going after each other, there was a lot of stuff to rap about going on in the 90's. Kids now think Gucci Mane or Drake is gangster, when Snoop Dogg at least back then anyways was a real member of the Long Beach Crips. Lots of the old school Rap artists were real intercity gang members, not these made for the Music industry pop personalities.

      4. I gave him the ones everyone typically likes.

The scene when they entered the party, the guy wearing the white hat and the Dickie outfit (old school lol) who went straight to the fridge filled with forties, was The DOC! He was down with them (Dre, Snoop, NWA) too and did his own music; but unfortunately was in a very serious car accident that severed his vocal chords and did major damage to his voice. He chose to step behind the scenes and get into production. His hit song, It’s Gettin’ Funky Enough, is hot though and definitely worth checking out! He’s also Erykah Badu’s daughters’ father.

1992 was the first year of the golden age of West Coast rap. The Chronic came out that year along with The Predator by Ice Cube, Dead Serious by Das FX, Guerrillas In The Mist by Da Lench Mob. 1993 hit, Doggy Style hit the charts, 19 Naughty III by Naighty By Nature, 187 He Wrote by Spice 1, Til Death Do Us Part by Geto Boys, and it was batting 1000 on the west coast (not to say the aforementioned were all West Coast rappers).

You have no idea how revolutionary this song was. This was the #1 album in '92 for almost the whole year. "Let me Ride" and "Don't f* wit Dre" are also excellent tracks.

I remember Snoop saying that meeting Dre was the first time someone looked at him and said "you're gonna need to learn how to sing when you rap" and it changed his life.

Gin and juice by Snoop is a nice song. Great reaction. My younger sisters generation of music. That's why I know it. After my time. Usually I say a song is before my time. Lol

I'm watching this realizing that there are entire generations that I've never heard this song. Entire generations that did not know Snoop Dogg when he was this young. And who probably have never really listened to his earlier stuff. Man I'm getting old.

🔥My FAVORITE Snoop Dogg song features Pharrell. Its called "Beautiful" & it was my ring tone for like 6 years. I'd hear Pharrell say "Beautiful! I just want you to know you're my favorite girl!" 🤣 The beat & flow is sexy, smooth, & amazing. 🔥
    I checked & you haven't done:
    👉"Regulators" Warren G & Nate Dogg
This should be your next one!! They sample Michael McDonald's famous riff (which I won't tell you what) without his permission which you'll recognize immediately but it is a CLASSIC!!!! Nate Dogg - hell yeah!!
"Gin & Juice" Snoop Dogg - one of his classics.
"Still D.R.E." which is the follow up to G Thang a few years later with DRE & Snoop. He mentions signing Eminem. Has like a bazillion views!! I still prefer G Thang. Still worth you catching - even just yourself!! They are a great duo.
"Drop It Like Its Hot" Snoop & Pharrell - very popular song but I didn't love it - just liked it. Very redundant!! The chorus will get stuck in your head forever.
"Sexual Seduction" - Snoop Dogg. (Explicit version) Only reason I mention this is for you to watch yourself. Snoop actually SINGS not raps. Cheesy as hell video (makes me laugh🤣) but his voice is actually really good!!! Lots of nominations for awards if I remember.
You can't do rap without the founder of Gangsta Rap. ICE CUBE was in C.I.A. then with Eazy-E & Dr. DRE the 3 formed NWA. Ice Cube was the main song writer. You probably remember him from "Boyz in the Hood." Great movie!!! He is very talented rapper, actor, writer, & producer. Ice Cube is the real deal.

This video came barreling into the TVs of every suburban kid in America when it debuted and every kid went out and grabbed The Chronic album. Dre Day was the 2nd video from the album, a dis track toward his former group mate Eazy E and others. The Chronic was a huge success followed by Snoop’s Doggystyle album

I think I love the reaction videos so much, because I'm trying to selfishly bring back that initial feeling of excitement of listening to a tune that would become a classic for years to come. G thang changed the game at the time on so many levels, and was rinsed in clubs 2 or 3 times a night easy. People knew every word and we DJs loved switching volume off and letting people sing the crucial parts accappella. The atmosphere was simply mind blowing, happy days.
