Kyle Kraz seems like lewtoons is using his *opinion* a bit too much lately hes a movie reviewer after all not just some random guy talking about he feels about a moview
Anonymous Dweeb idk i just feel if your gonna be a proffessional reviewer you shouldnt always put your opinion first. Because your suggesting movies for other people
MSROCKADA Yeah but he has always made that one clear. I don't think there has ever been a time where he didn't review the movies based on his own opinions. I don't think there's anything wrong with basing channels on that as long as you make it clear from the start that it is YOUR opinion.
MSROCKADA I'm not sure how a professional could even do that. Quality is a subjective measure that only you can really determine. Even the conventions of the medium itself aren't really a good standard because those can be broken to great effect in the right hands. All reviewers can really do is outline their opinion with an explanation of why they came to that conclusion.
Sebastian Quintero doubt it, the amount of money these people make solely on this one series rivals even big names like disney, pixar, and dreamworks. The only possible way (at least what I think) for them to stop making money is if they get the general audience sick of them. Kinda like if you keep eating the same thing constantly your going to get sick of it.
I thought it was ok. Not terrible, but nothing amazing. The only part I really liked was Bratt. He's probably the best antagonist in the series, although that's not a hard thing to do considering the villains of the other two movies were shit.
Heres My List 1. The Lego Batman Movie 2. Cars 3 3. Captain Underpants The First Epic Movie 4. Despicable Me 3 5. Smurfs The Lost Village 6. Rock Dog & The Boss Baby 7. Spark A Space Tail 8. Surfs Up 2: Wavemania 9. Tom and Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory 10. The Emoji Movie (Aka The "Poop" Emoji Movie)
My dad says that he finds the minions "hilarious." I just wanted to go cry or jump out a window at that point. But then again, he thinks that the Emoji Movie is going to be better than Cars 3, so he just has no taste.
That's a bit petty, don't you think? You're looking down on your father simply because he likes a movie that you don't. And yes he does have taste. If you like or dislike things, you have taste. You need to learn to respect others' opinions and not treat yours like it's correct.
Connor Beith I don't look down on him for it, I just think he has poor taste. I was only trying to get that point across in an over dramatic way. Sorry that I didn't convey it like that. I watch a lot harsh movie critics on UA-cam, so I'm more judgmental when it comes to stuff like that. The general consensus on UA-cam seems to be that Minions aren't funny, so I'll use that against my dad since I'm a bit of a debater. My bad.
My order from best to worst 1. Lego Batman Movie 2. Cars 3 3. Captain Underpants 4. Smurfs The Lost Village 5. The Boss Baby 6. Despicable Me 3 7. Rock Dog
Gru has a twin brother. Before I even seen the video, I still think the movie would be interesting but I really don't like it when they added a character who is Gru's twin that has an opposite personality than him
For me Despicable Me 3 is just whole huge missed oportunity. It starts very well, starts something that could be well developed and then.... it fails. Minions fail there the most. SPOILER ALERT Minions want to be evil again. I thought it was good idea here, since their own movie is about finding EVIL and Gru isn't bad guy during second movie and they still helped him. They leave our happy non-evil family, go to prison after crashing into concert and singing one song, suddenly decide that they love Gru and go find him. No purpose, no logic, no good conclusion... Just for the advertisment. Just example how this movie works a bit :< That's sad. This movie could be good if they put in there more efford ;(
Words cannot describe how much I appreciated how they handled or even included Lucy being a new step mom, the children's recaction to their parents losing their job (selling the toys), and the difficult conversations that families have to have. I just saw this movie with my niece and wasn't expecting much. Those moments made the film for me. I can't think of any other animated films that depict step moms the way this film did in such a positive way, while still having Lucy struggle with parenting as opposed to a seemless addition to the family. Step parents deserve more love from animated movies.
As a fan of the first two movies and even minions, I was really disappointed with this film. Way too many subplots that took too much time (as you said) and a majority of the movie was just boring to me. The only thing that kept me interested was the minions subplot since it actually gave me a couple laughs.
DantheMan I also really like the first 2 movies minions was meh for me, and really disapointed of the movie too, the only reason I give this movie a 6.9 is beacuse the minions and the villan the rest was meh or boring.
That ending animation during the credits when they played that song "Hug Me" was better than the whole film. I feel like this one got rushed just so it can make it as a summer movie.
People hate Shrek 3 but I prefer Shrek 3 over this movie and people hate the fact that Shrek 3 mad almost 800 million but despicable me 3 mad over a billion dollars. However not many people are talking about the cash grab which is despicable me sequels
As someone who really enjoyed Despicable Me 1, I'm very disappointed with where the franchise has gone since. The first movie was good because it was FOCUSED on one thing: Gru being a crazy villain and trying to balance that with being a father. The movie never strays too far from that premise, Gru is a great character, and the minions serve in the main story without getting in the way. I'm not going to pretend it was perfect, but I still loved it. This movie truly does feel like a straight-to-DVD sequel. It has 3 main plots that each take up significant screentime, and they have barely anything to do with each other. It feels like they had a bunch of ideas, none of which were good enough to stand on their own, and instead of trying to improve them, they just mashed them all together. Nothing has any weight to it. And since Sing has the exact same problem (too many main characters instead of plotlines), I'm sensing a trend: Illumination is not confident enough to just choose one idea and build on it. It makes me angry to see them make unholy amounts of money from their incredibly safe movies. After that POS Minions movie, I was still willing to give this a chance. Nothing has changed.
Don't worry Chad. Coco comes out later this year as almost a sure-fire win. Also later this summer a smaller movie called Leap! is going to be coming to theaters soon looks promising as well.
You need to review Your Name since it got a cinematic release in America. Or I mean at least review it for fun like the little prince or the killing joke.
I love Despicable Me 1 and 2 but I suspected that this third movie wouldn't be so good. I haven't seen it yet but you kinda highlighted my worst fears for the movie. I really wish the minions weren't a thing or were underplayed. From what I heard, originally there were huge scary evil underlings for Gru but were replaced with the minions. Really wish that didn't happen.
My list 1) Lego Batman-Awesome 2) Captain underpants-Awesome 3) Cars 3-Ok 4) Despecable me 3-Ok 5) The boss baby-Ok 6) Rock dog-Meh 7) Smurfs the lost village-Meh Really just 2 movies that are from good to more, the Ok movies are close to the meh. And considering that the next 2 will be the emoji movie and nut job 2 thing will get really bad.
I watched the movie and I dont really like it, for me the ending was really weird and kinda rushed. In the ending they dont really explain what happened to the minions or Gru´s brother, But i know they flied away on that ship, but are the minions now serving Dru and did baltazar brat go to prison, or did lucie and gru get their job back? Like there are too many questions and the minions are like only in prison for like 10 minuttes of the movie, and most of it was shown in the trailer, and it felt lika a way to get the audience (fans) exited. This is the longest comment i haver written, phew.
So my question is. Do the people at *Illumination* know the Minions are an easy way out and deliberately use them to fill time rather than actually think about deeper and more emotional stories ? Or... Do they genuinely believe the Minions are a valid idea and that more is better ?
I got to watch Despicable Me 3 followed by Cars 3 as part of a double feature at a drive in movie theater. Honestly, it was hard for this movie to keep my attention. There were just too many plot jumps and it feels like that they needed to decide whether they were going to keep the Lucy trying to be a mom part or the twin brother plot because you can't do both AND have another villain that wasn't some brother plot twist.🤷🏻♀️ Honestly, I have watched Lego Batman and I found it a bit easier to watch than DM3, but Cars 3 was just such a refreshing movie to watch and gave me that same inspired and motivated feeling that I felt as a kid with my movies growing up. It was also enjoyable to see my little 7-year-old brother be just as enamored with Cars 3 as he was with Cars. While movie may use a commonly reused plot, like most (if not all) movies do, it did a great job of making feel like a natural part of the movie and virtually unnoticeable. Because, while my dad and I could guess what was going to possibly happen, we weren't upset with it. Also, my dad and I were pointing out a few references that the writers made to certain historical events (that I don't want to necessarily mention because it may be a bit of a spoiler) that made the movie seem even more relatable and applicable to real life lessons. So for me, out of what I've seen so far, my list would be: 1. Cars 3 2. Lego Batman 3. Despicable Me 3 Which is basically the same order as Chad's list and I really do agree with it. Except if I could put DM3 and Lego Batman at the same number, I probably would do it.
My list: 10.The Emoji Movie 9.The Emoji Movie 8.THE EMOJI MOVIE 7.the emoji movie 6.THE emoji movie 5.THE EMOJI movie 4.The Movie full of Emoji's 3.THE EMOJI MOVIE 2.Cars 3 1.THE EMOJI MOVIE HOPE YOU AGREE!
Yes my friend I totally agree the emoji movie was a great film with such great characters like jailbreak and fart emoji and the plot was just so good it left me with my jaw dropping on how such great film creators like Disney and DreamWorks didn't think of something so brilliant like this and another thing I absolutely love about this good quality 10 star movie is the great voice acting from the one and only Patrick Stewart who played as poop and he and only he had good af quality acting I mean this movie was pretty good I honestly don't understand why it got a 3 on rotten tomato i guess the film critics are just bland and salty when it comes to movie reviewing
Honestly, I enjoyed this movie. I have an analogy for these films- Despicable Me was a home run. Funny, fast and a riot, it was great. Despicable Me 2, however, got lost on the way to home plate and ended up picking dasies in the outfield. Then there was Minions, which got the bases loaded, and this movie let the runners get home. It's not the greatest movie this year- for me that's Cars 3 hands down- but it was a good film. Side note- the dings and scratches on things like the Bratt toys and even the robot were super well done. That shows skill in the texturing and modeling departments. Kudos to them!
I totally agree about the subplot thing, felt like they were trying to fit too many things into this one movie. Actually I agree with pretty much everything you said in this video (except maybe the rating board lol), although I would like to add that the villain felt kinda generic, aside from his unique 80s aesthetic. The "child prodigy grows up and turns evil when people don't like him anymore and wants to destroy the world" thing kinda felt bland to me, like they didn't give him enough motive for being a threat. Also the whole diamond/AVL subplot confused me
I don't think you are way off the mark on not enjoying this one. The problem with Illumination is that they have such great ideas and talented animators, but their writers and directors suck. They have the same problem that Blue Sky Studios has where they have good animation and solid ideas (except for those stupid Ice Age films), but their writers and choices of directors mostly never leave the circle of those that they have. Trey Parker does save this movie, but because they have a billion plots, he doesn't get a lot of screen time...like HE SHOULD. He is just the best thing about the movie. I only disagree with you on the Minions time in the movie. I think it's more like 15 minutes and not 25 minutes. I also don't get why you rate Captain underpants and LEGO batman so low, but give that bloated cliched mess known as Cars 3 the top spot. idk I bet if you rewatched those three films, they would be different. I get different opinions and such, but come on.
My List So Far: Number 1. The LEGO Batman Movie (10/10) Number 2. Cars 3 (8/10) Number 3. Smurfs: The Lost Village (7/10) Number 4. Despicable Me 3 (5/10) Number 5. The Boss Baby (4/10)
I really enjoyed this movie :D Super fun to watch (and the visuals are quite great) Plus I was really worried about minions being obnoxious and annoying in this movie (because minions) but they actually weren't, I laughed my ass off on the prison part Def the best of the series just for the fun factor
My list so far (I haven't seen rock dog) Note: If you like the movies here that I don't that's perfectly fine with me. Like whatever you want. 😁 1) Lego Batman Movie (and I'm not even a fan of Batman) 2) Despicable Me 3 3) Cars 3 4) Captain Underpants 5) Smurfs The Lost Village 6) Boss Baby (This year has been awful so far kinda like 2013)
I don't know if I'm stupid or missed some trailers, but there were some things that kinda surprised me in the movie. [SPOILERS UNDER "READ MORE"] I was expecting the brother to be a straight-up bad guy in the movie, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that he was a goofball who tries too hard to be a villain like his brother, and didn't really start out as the villain I expected him to be.
The next year seems pretty weak for animation too but it's still seems so much better just because Incredbles 2 And Wreck-It Ralph 2 are coming. I would like you to compare this list to last years by the end of the year and where would you place all films in one list.
Hey! Why are you ignoring "A Stork's Journey"? I know it's not the latest animation sensation but it's still a great animated movie that came out this year so I expect you to watch it and review it! :)
They are only making a third movie because the other two made loads of money. It's a shame that so many movies aren't there to convey a meaning anymore, but only to get money.
I thought the first movie was okay, Sadly, it's probably the best Illumination movie as well. But they never were able to replicate what they did right with that movie, and just amplified what they did wrong because that's where the money was at.
Sometimes, I just don't know why I subscribed to your channel when all you do is give bad underwhelming reviews to films that I personally enjoyed when I saw them in theatres. First Lego Batman, then Smurfs, then Cars 3 and now this. DUDE, LIGHTEN UP ALREADY!!
I gotta say, i strongly disagree with the majority of you guys. But i'm just 12 so don't mind me, i respect your opinion. 1. Cars 3 (My childhood) 2. Despicable me 3 3. Lego Batman 4. Boss Baby 5. Captain undies 6. Smurfs 7. Rock dog
Best part of this movie is literally the villain
stays within his retro culture
Trey Parker and 80s references.
Nuff said.
*Tries not to get triggered when he sees that Boss Baby is above The Lego Batman Movie*
Super Tan me too. I'd rather live in a world where al queda took over than to see the boss baby over batman's head
Super Tan exactly
Super Tan honestly I like Lego Batman a lot more than Cars 3.
i'm more mad that it's above captian underpants
Super Tan ikr :')
Long lost twin brother? Girls on a search for a unicorn?
Do I smell Gravity Falls?
Hitomi Iwahana a bad versions of a wonderful show
Why didn’t see this?
Now all we need is a one eyed yellow creature......wait
Why is batman lower than the boss baby
Wuzz Poppin Jimbo His preferences. What are you going to do?
Kyle Kraz seems like lewtoons is using his *opinion* a bit too much lately hes a movie reviewer after all not just some random guy talking about he feels about a moview

Only good part of the movie was the villain. I love the 80s so he's awesome to me.
Kiratree 1 same here!
Illumination really needs to let this cash cow go.
illumination was always about the cash
A Street Fighter Fan Dude chill, don't get so worked up about a movie company.
HelloI'mCombo What do you mean "chill" lol
A Street Fighter Fan it makes money. Just don't watch the movie and it'll be more likely that they stop making more
Sebastian Quintero doubt it, the amount of money these people make solely on this one series rivals even big names like disney, pixar, and dreamworks. Yeah, the first movie's villain was lame, and there's just nothing memorable about the villain in the second one.
SteelRotom I liked the second villain, he reminded me of my uncle. Personal opinion, I like exaggerated personalities in villains
Shut up, vectors awsome. El macho was kinda lame
I still can't comprehend how Lego Batman Movie and Captain Underpants are lower then The Boss Baby!
Heres My List
1. The Lego Batman Movie

My dad says that he finds the minions "hilarious." I just wanted to go cry or jump out a window at that point. But then again, he thinks that the Emoji Movie is going to be better than Cars 3, so he just has no taste.
I'm hyped for The Emoji Movie so I can see how badly they fuck it up, and how much they rip of from wreck it ralph.
That's a bit petty, don't you think? You're looking down on your father simply because he likes a movie that you don't. And yes he does have taste. If you like or dislike things, you have taste. You need to learn to respect others' opinions and not treat yours like it's correct.

The general consensus on UA-cam seems to be that Minions aren't funny, so I'll use that against my dad since I'm a bit of a debater. My bad.
So far, the only animated film I've seen that really I fell in love with is "Your Name."
same. i would be triggered if he put below Boss Baby or Cars 3....
Raf the Gamer Nah, I'm sure it'd be above but y'know Netflix and etc.
Agreed! It was such a beautiful, lovely movie.
Wasn't that movie from 2016?
Eric Turpel I'm not sure why chad doesn't review those movies
My order from best to worst 1. Lego Batman Movie 2. Cars 3 3. Captain Underpants 4. Smurfs The Lost Village 5. The Boss Baby 6. Despicable Me 3 7. Rock Dog
Can you do a comparison to the rotten tomatoes ratings in the finale? I think that would be cool to you and other critics difference in opinion

I'm just waiting for coco
Overwatch Player I have a lot of faith in Coco. I doubt they'll screw it up.
Halloweengirl02 _ I agree. But if they somehow do screw it up, I think it will cause a lot of controversy.
That only took a month to review.
I watched this movie already, but the time they danced with the pink toilet paper they were getting lit
'Long lost twin brother'... Sounds familiar
COUGH COUGH GRAVITY FALLS COUGH
I'm still really surprised you didn't like Captain Underpants more. I think it was great
Completely agree, Rachel! Like you, I also think Captain Underpants is (so far) the best animated movie this year.
Gru has a twin brother.
Before I even seen the video, I still think the movie would be interesting but I really don't like it when they added a character who is Gru's twin that has an opposite personality than him

That's sad. This movie could be good if they put in there more efford ;(

Humas Mahone For some reason I thik this movie has less minions than the other 2 films.
That ending animation during the credits when they played that song "Hug Me" was better than the whole film. I feel like this one got rushed just so it can make it as a summer movie.
I know it gets said all the time. But Boss Baby being that high, is triggering lol.
This movie had less Minion time than the last, which I was kind of relieved about.
I kinda thought this was one of the weakest installments of the franchise. But at the same time, this was kind of a guilty pleasure to me.
you LITERALLY have no idea how long I've been waiting for this 😂

Sean V Music easy route for sure
My catchphrase is: "If it was minions in it, it's already destined to suck."
This movie literally feels like one of those Disney sequels where they tied three stories together
I honestly didn't like the movie. The jokes were unfunny, the plot very predictable, and the B Plot with Lucy being a better Mother goes nowhere.
I got to watch Despicable Me 3 followed by Cars 3 as part of a double feature at a drive in movie theater. Honestly, it was hard for this movie to keep my attention. Damn this year really sucks for animated movies lol. Compared to last year at least.
Honestly, I enjoyed this movie. I have an analogy for these films- Despicable Me was a home run. Funny, fast and a riot, it was great. Side note- the dings and scratches on things like the Bratt toys and even the robot were super well done. That shows skill in the texturing and modeling departments. Kudos to them!
My List:
1. Cars 3
2. Captain Underpants
3. The LEGO Batman Movie
4. Despicable Me 3
5. Smurfs: The Lost Village
6. The Boss Baby
My List So Far:
Number 1. The LEGO Batman Movie (10/10)
Number 2. Cars 3 (8/10)
Number 3. Smurfs: The Lost Village (7/10)
Number 4. Despicable Me 3 (5/10)
Number 5. The Boss Baby (4/10)
Cars 3 is definitely my favorite, very underrated
I work at a movie theater and these kids (sometimes parents) come up to me and say they want to see "Minions 3."
Good
1.The Lego Batman Movie
2.Captain Underpants
Ok
3.Cars 3
4.Despicable Me 3
Bad
5.Smurfs The Lost Villagw
6.The Boss Baby
7.Rock Dog
He flipped the footage to make sure that he doesn't break any rules. Nice!!
Looking forward to the Emoji movie review.
Your voice and your intro sound sooooo chill.
Long lost twin brother?
A quest to find a unicorn?
Wow, that doesn't sound familiar at all.......
Cars 3 is keeping the number one spot warm for the emoji movie
I HATED THIS MOVIE!! especially the end song " hug me bring it in whoo" is bad enough, but with an annoying british accents!
Rock dog was this year? It feels like that was ages ago.
I really enjoyed this movie :D Super fun to watch (and the visuals are quite great)
Plus I was really worried about minions being obnoxious and annoying in this movie (because minions) but they actually weren't, I laughed my ass off on the prison part
Def the best of the series just for the fun factor
I just realized he's gonna have to watch the Emoji movie soon. That's gonna be GREEAAAT.
This is off topic but isn't it safe too say Sony Pictures Animation will shut down after The Emoji Movie will nuke at the box office.
Lets Hope So
I felt like it seems an hour long series episode, rather than a movie. I bet with plots like that they can do a Despicable Me series
My list:
1. Cars 3
2. Despicable me 3
3. The Boss Baby
4. Lego Batman Movie
5. Captain Underpants
6. The Smurfs Lost Village
7. Rockdog
JUULIEJAN *I C O U L D N T A G R E E M O R E*
I just realized that illumination without on is illuminati. That explains the minion takeover!
The Emoji Movie is next!!!
He doesn't get the joke with Gru's voice, let's never tell him!
My list so far (I haven't seen rock dog) Note: If you like the movies here that I don't that's perfectly fine with me. Like whatever you want. 😁
1) Lego Batman Movie (and I'm not even a fan of Batman)
2) Despicable Me 3
3) Cars 3
4) Captain Underpants
5) Smurfs The Lost Village
6) Boss Baby
(This year has been awful so far kinda like 2013)
Day dm3 releases
Illumination : chew the music!
Here comes the money! Here we go! Money money money! Dollar dollar!
I have only one question: Why haven't Gru's daughters grown yet? Seriously, it's been 7 years since the first.
Probably the same reason Bart Simpson isn't 37 now. Cartoon logic.
I don't know if I'm stupid or missed some trailers, but there were some things that kinda surprised me in the movie. [SPOILERS UNDER "READ MORE"]
I was expecting the brother to be a straight-up bad guy in the movie, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that he was a goofball who tries too hard to be a villain like his brother, and didn't really start out as the villain I expected him to be.
yeah. also balthasar bratt was a bigger character than i thought.
The true question is did they find the unicorn
I'm excited for the Emoji Movie review
Do a rant on Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs and Hotel Transylvania.
I thought it had a few good lines but overall it was bad
The next year seems pretty weak for animation too but it's still seems so much better just because Incredbles 2 And Wreck-It Ralph 2 are coming. I would like you to compare this list to last years by the end of the year and where would you place all films in one list.
Well after this...ya know whats next ladies and gentlemen!...
Hey!
Why are you ignoring "A Stork's Journey"? I know it's not the latest animation sensation but it's still a great animated movie that came out this year so I expect you to watch it and review it! :)
So far the Lego Batman Movie has been my favorite animated movie this year
They are only making a third movie because the other two made loads of money. It's a shame that so many movies aren't there to convey a meaning anymore, but only to get money.
despicable me had a good mix of minions now it becomes despicable minions
yaaaay u uploaded
I thought the first movie was okay, Sadly, it's probably the best Illumination movie as well. But they never were able to replicate what they did right with that movie, and just amplified what they did wrong because that's where the money was at.
Any character voiced by Trey Parker will be ... Ultra Super Mega Fantastic
People are overly harsh on cars in general so I am not surprised about its rotten tomatoes score being comparable
Can I just quote this line because of how wrong this sounds. "We need to make some trouble later."
And of course Im not sure if thats exactly what was said, but jesus christ it sounded pedo like
I instantly reject all opinions of anyone who says happy was anything other than trash
Dru is so annoying that I wanted the minions to show up.
Oh no! He doesn't share all the same opinions as you! How DARE he!!
I gotta say, i strongly disagree with the majority of you guys. But i'm just 12 so don't mind me, i respect your opinion.
1. Cars 3 (My childhood)
2. Despicable me 3
3. Lego Batman
4. Boss Baby
5. Captain undies
6. Smurfs
7. Rock dog
Minions are the worst thing that ever hapened to humanity
I haven't seen your videos since 2015!
i dont think this movie was necessary but i was at least pleasantly surprised by the brother, he wasn't as annoying and bad as i thought he would be
It's basically gru with a more annoying voice
I thought your channel name was lewdtunes lol
Will you be reviewing the breadwinner when it comes out this fall?
Will you be doing Spark a space tail at all? I wanted to see what you had to say about it.
