Leh B. Dan has always loved Serena and he had to resort to being a jerk at times because he knew that was the only way he wasn’t going to end up like Rufus. And Serena always did love Dan they were endgame and i was so happy 😍❤️

Umm how about he was gossip girl the whole time, that he became obsessed with Serena just from one look at a party where she was blackout drunk at, or that he created gossip girl because of his obsessed and was planning his way to enter into her world. I get it he was not a popular guy back then, but Serena was friendly, and he if had the confidence to talk her when was with Jenny at Bendels(idk how to spell it) maybe their love story wouldn’t be so creepy. The meet cute in the hotel where he returns her phone and she just happens to show up just as he is leaving, that screams stalker
I understand that everyone hates dan for being gossip girl at the start but honestly he was just lonely. And the other gossip girls did more damage. He merely spread stuff that was already known.
It's not only being gossip girl.. For me it's about him calling Serena an empty shell who you can easily manipulate... It's hard for me to not love Dan but I can't forgive him
@@mcjulia2855 But he didn't lie about Serena, she is always in seducing mode and needs desperately to be loved and seen. It's not a bad thing that someone can see your weakness or call them out, it's actually a noble thing, overall when that person considers you as the love of her life and marries you.
@@saraautumn8694 It's one thing to know a person's weakness and another to call them an empty shell which basically implies they don't have any other qualities. Plus, Serena might be very flirty, but it's not like she wants to hook up with every man she sees
@@mcjulia2855 Serena was a mess, you can't deny that, she had bad frequentations and made bad choices based on her need to be loved by everyone, otherwise she felt impty. Dan didn't lie.

Many people complained about the end of game of thrones, but what about the end of gossip girl? Serena and Dan get married after 5 years !!! WTF! And how was the marriage proposal? Did Dan keep writing? Serena also became a writer? Many gaps. The librettists, they finished the series of eagerness, they did not think much, right? The series and its characters deserved a better explained ending.

Just nothing close to the couple who did the trope best, SETH AND SUMMER, who ppl often compare them to. One was obv set up from the start, while the other was thrown together way down the line bc they were the only girl guy who hadn't had sex and for CHEAP DRAMA. Hell, Chuck and Dan had moments too(development 😋) and far more chemistry, yet they didn't get together bc platonic rls exist. No one told GG it could apply to men and women too tho I guess. And atleast ChuckDan would've been interesting 😂✌.
