Yeah, the guarantee being at 120 and not carrying over will matter or not depending on the pull economy at launch. @@bodola1382The gacha is appealing to me because 1) Most 6*s will be non limited 2) pulling only when you can hit 120 is more cost effective compared to other gacha I've played (throwing Genshin & HI3 under the bus here because there's so much incentive to impulse pull) Also weapon currency is farmable weekly
1:11 it became standard because mihoyo made the biggest gamble in creating genshin. If it weren't for genshin the genre would've been stuck as 2D sidescroller where you pull for hot waifus only to play them as chibis. Now that gacha games have been introduced to the mainstream studios feel less hesitant investing millions of dollars for a high budget gacha game.
While it's true that genshin popularized it, and that they were the first to do open world, they weren't the first to do 3D action gameplay, the best exemple is PGR from Kurogame that came out in 2019, I think even without genshin it would have been a natural progression of the genre, what was holding back was more the hardware, if we get back around 2017 low-mid specs phones could hardly run these types of games, nowaday it's way more common.
@@kevinseraphin5456 ahh yes PGR. And are you aware before PGR (Kuro games) in 2019 there was Honkai Impact 3 in 2016? While i cant be for certain if HI3 was the first 3D gacha game i believe it was the first 3D action combat gacha game that had console level graphics so you see it's not a natural progression but it is Mihoyo spearheading the growth of gacha games always setting a new standard.
There were a lot 3d gacha even back then, but genshin introduced the open world to gacha and separate mobile/pc client, and now a lot of gacha follow the same footstep and developed it further
What we've seen so far on pull currency is: In a month: 24 pulls from dailies. 7 pulls from Algorithmic Memories (a weekly) 5 pulls from Outpost shop (using factory currency) X pulls from ongoing events* There could be more pulls or oroberyl given out as login rewards, no way to know on that but they do give at least 1 pull a month in OG AK. Also 60 weapon pulls (also from Algorithmic Memories) *OG AK gives on average around 35 pulls a month from events. Again, no way to know what they do in EF, but food for thought.
I heard few times about controversy with that gacha system but it all depends on how gacha economy will work. Take for example Blue Archiwe you have there an eligma (it is a side drop in gacha, like masterless starglitter in Genshin) that you can use as substitution for copies of same character (you only need to unlock character by obtaining one coppy), coppies are still welcome because thanks to them you need to spent less eligma but are't necessary. Similar things are in other games, like Wuthering Waves or Azur Lane.
I love Endfield's approach to combat, it reminds me of games like FF7 remake and FF15 it even reminds me of Dragon Age Inquisition/Veilguard. I already have WuWa to get my fast paced, skill based, flashy and decently difficult combat itch taken care of so I'm looking for a more chill approach and having all characters on field doing actions at the same time is something I thought I would only ever see in Aether Gazer for gacha games. So yeah Endfield is definitely up in my alley can't wait for its release
Seems like the way the system works gacha wise it's better to wait for the characters to go to the standard pool, especially the weapons, and lose to them lol the only thing i really truly hate about Endfield is the base building.... I am not a fan of those kinds of games, at all.
That's fair, though Endfield was designed with the Base Building as the primary focus, so if you truly hate it, you may not enjoy your time in the game much.
The only people complaining about Endfield gacha system are the whales. For F2P, most of us will only pulling 1 copy regardless so having the 120 guaranteed is a huge W. And it seems like it’s similar Arknights dupes system where the character only get damage boost or efficiency boost and not having their entire gameplay potential locked behind an expensive paywall.
There are questions regarding coop in the beta surveys, so there is a chance it could have a coop feature in the future. But The beta doesn't have those systems yet.
I was wrong. You were wrong. My cat was wrong. My mom was wrong. The Pope was wrong. The chimpanzees in the Congo were wrong. The wart on my left foot was wrong. The pigeon on the roof was wrong. Justin Trudeau was wrong.
Gotta say that your comments about extra copies making the characters feel smoother to play has left me extremely concerned. One of the things I disliked the most about HoYo style gacha's is that they put quality of life or new gameplay mechanics in extra copies, if you need to pull extra copies of a character to make it feel less clunky, that is a huge red flag. The character should feel complete and fun to play with just one copy, and getting more should just give stat increases, damage and whatnot, at least in my opinion.
Nah, the duplicates for characters hardly matter at all. I say this as another beta tester. Hypergryph is following the same trend they've upheld with Arknights for 6 years, and that is duplicates are a tiny bonus, but nothing important or necessary.
If you don't mind my asking, what hardware are you using to run the game? What parts of the game did you feel it stutter or slow down more (does building towards a bigger base make it a bit slower/stuttery?)
The exploration and it's version of the "tv mode" is a big problem, most people are respecting they're own rime more and more and don't have time for this openworld nonsense, especially when that does not have any intrinsic mobility system
so theres no rng gear? Thats actually one criteria i have when it comes to gacha games. I like RNG gear it allows for me to min max specific characters and just have them feel unique.
It could be a problem if earning pulls in the game was so hard. If you pulled with only 80 pulls, lost the 50/50 and didn't have enough time to secure 40 more pulls by the time the banner you pulled in ends, then how long till you can get another 80 pulls plus another 40 since you're incentivised to save for a guarantee at that point. Would it take a month? What does it look like if they decide to release the BiS support for the character you just lost the 50/50 with in the next banner? 120 for guarantee means less pulls for players but that could mean they give you less earnable premium currency.
As for the beta, the 80 pull does carry over but not the 120. We don't know whether they will change it or not at release day but one thing is for sure, based from og arknights HG is pretty f2p friendly and you can farm the gacha currency easily in many ways and I assume HG will do the same in endfield.
Bro i am so tired of opon world game, dont get me wrong it looks good its just i have played enough open world games and its so boring i am happy for those who enjoy it.
the only thing that i found bad is the 120 pity not carring over... it means that if u want to guarante a caracter, u need to have 120 pulls... for f2p, could be a nightmare
tbf we still have yet to learn how they're gonna implement free currency in Endfield. If it's the same as OG Arknights, then being an f2p is very possible to do.
well its not similar to hoyo games where all new character are always limited. even if you loss you have the chance to get other character like the previouse featured character
I think it is more of a plan. Save for 120. If you hit before 120 good, you have extra ammo for other banners next time. The reward for being patience is the player won't go to 160 or 180 at the worst, which saves a ton of resource in the long run. And no fomo for dupes too which I think is highly undermined and undervalued by players.
Tbh... i have done too much. I no longer feel need to explore new world. To seek 1000 chests... I spend less and less money on mobile, like 20$ a month now. (from like 100)
@@MITKOYATO ??? I'm not. A person did the math a month ago. Anyways that means that 6* have a ratio of 3.81 of female to male 5* have a ratio of 3.46 of female to male 4* have a ratio of 4.1 of female to male 3* have a ratio of 2 of female to male 2* have a ratio of .66 of female to male 1* have a ratio of infinite of female to male And grand total ratio is 3.325 of female to male for the entire game
Duplicates of the characters that you already acquired once. Arknights designed in a way that you don't need duplicates to feel comfortable with a character, but people simply unused to such concepts, since in many other games dupes are must to make chars work.
personally having both the permanent 50/50 and the lack of carry over makes it a pass from me. either i could lived with but both means any dupe could cost significantly more then in other gatcha
The problem with the pulling system isn’t only because of the fact that a 50/50 loss after the first one doesn’t guarantee a 6 star, but it’s also because pulls don’t carry over, meaning that even if you ever lose a 50/50, you’re forced to go all in for that specific character. It also means that you can’t even pull a specific 5 star you want that is featured on that banner, since any and every pull you put into that banner is completely lost and wasted if you don’t want the featured 6 star of that banner. Just hope they change it.
Very nice video. One detail - 13:08 - this is ridiculous. No, 120 pulls in Enfield doesn't mean it's less than 160 or 180 pulls in other game. Numbers alone are meaningless. 100 dollars is not the same as 100 roubles, etc. It's especially weird when just a bit earlier it was said that in Enfield 1 pull requires 500 of their currency. So you contradicted yourself, if taking that currency in gachas are 1 to 1, then you should say that character in Enfield is waaaay more expensive. But that's not how it works. It's important to make it clear cause gacha players are prone to make mistakes like this. Other things as for this 'saving'... Fact that 50/50 is coming not in the middle of full guarantee, but further - in 80 pulls from 120 - means it's much WORSE than games like WuWa or Genshin. Again, don't look at number of pulls, but on the fact that to reach 50/50 you need to reach MORE than 50% of pulls for full guarantee. People are just bamboozled by meaningless numbers and don't see the real math here. Different thing - argument that eh, system is ok, cause copies of limited characters are not required... is bad. It's not like it's a norm that copies are required / very much needed. Fact is that copies in Enfield provide very significant value and that's what matters here. Enfield looks great, very promising, I much appreciate more complex gameplay with a few systems. But gacha... It's predatory and bad, they have to fix this. Let's ask them to change the rules. If game is high quality and will be great then making characters more expensive is fair. Making gacha rules predatory and bad is NOT fair, it's unacceptable.
As I mentioned in both the video and in the pinned comment: what is ACTUALLY important is how much pull currency were given, but there is simply no way to know what this amount will be. Even if we were to guess from the beta, there have been no events and there is no “memory of chaos” or weekly tower-esque event to gauge our actual economy
You could also see the 50/50 being at 100% and the guaranteed being at 150% instead instead of 200% like other gachas. It depends on how many pulls you can save up in the end
While i do believe this game will be successful when it launch, i HIGHLY doubt it will be anything game changer in the genre. Sure it will make tens of millions at launch but it will just be another Wuwa (literally another genshin), ToF (MMO), Snowbreak (TPS), Aether Gazer (action rog but with bot controlled companions), girls frontline 2 (Xcoom) etc It's just another gacha game with it's own gimmick and the gimmick is base building.
Can't believe a new gacha game in 2025 can be as worse as Genshin. If you get a 6* early, you are still not guaranteed the rate-up on 80 pulls and you still need to reach 120 no matter how many non-rate up 6* you get on the banner. And the worst part is AK fans is defending this kind of gacha system
This gacha system is way better wdym not only are the rates higher the pity starts earlier at 65 unlike the genshin model that starts at 75ich not to mention the characters are not limited so they can spook you on later banners, the 120 exists as last measure to guarantee you the character if everything fails (saying you getting a 6* early is very unrealistic and in normal circumstances in the mihoyo gacha model you would have to go to 160ich pulls to get your character) And if this is following original arknights model they will be very generous with the currency not to mention the weapon banner got separate currency which is easy to get ( I could never pull for weapons in genshin and still can't pull for lightcones in hsr)
@@zakariabm4268 this gacha system is way worse than Genshin. You are bambozzled by meaningless numbers and you don't see the real math here. Do you also think that 100 dollars is the same as 100 roubles?? LOL. Guarantee on the banner being one time only and not carring over is predatory and horrible, what is not clear here? Fact that to reach 50/50 you need to reach more than 50% of pulls for full guarantee is another aspect worse than other gacha games. Let's just say NO to predatory practices and ask for fair and better rules.
@@MarionFR the gacha is more advantageous to f2p players since they only need to save up for 120 pulls instead of the genshin/wuwa's 180/160 pulls. Not only that, the dupes for characters don't upgrade the character by a significant amount. Max dupe is like a 50% increase in effectiveness. Not significant enough that you would be missing out on a lot of potential but significant enough that you will get a slight advantage for getting dupes. Also, you ONLY get characters in the character banner.
@ Oh, so you do think that 100 dollars is the same as 100 roubles? Oh my, you will have a hard life. Also, false, copies provide not 'slight advantage', but very significant boosts to characters, as it can be seen even in this video.

From how to gear up to the gacha system (minus the combat) but there are still some concern that i have like the factory building side of the game though it sound great cuz you can obtain your gear for free it gonna be a huge huge time cost maybe even more than everything else in the game and ppls probably alot are casual not going to enjoy it as much (speak from a guy who love playing base building games like mindustry,...)
Curious how you find the gacha appealing. Everyone else seems to think this is one of the worst one out of all the giant mobile games.
@@bodola1382 How to find the gacha appealing = actualy reading it
How to think it's the worst thing ever = regurgitating the words of a content creator that read a post about it on reddit but actualy didn't even played the beta (true story, I had a guy cite one of those as a source)
@@bodola1382it's the worst if you can't read. It's the best if you can not only read, but also THINK. I'll be pulling hard once it drops, it's a perfect game to drop thousands of dollars in
The Base Building IS technically the main point of the game, or at least is the main thing they started making Endfield for based on the interviews.
@@bodola1382The gacha is appealing to me because
1) Most 6*s will be non limited
2) pulling only when you can hit 120 is more cost effective compared to other gacha I've played (throwing Genshin & HI3 under the bus here because there's so much incentive to impulse pull)
Also weapon currency is farmable weekly
We're faceless but it's not like we don't know what the MC looks like, there's official art without the mask in the game's page
hyped for this game. Hope it drops on ps5 and pc same time
1:11 it became standard because mihoyo made the biggest gamble in creating genshin.

I dropped genshin for wuthering waves and now dropping it for arknights 😂
Why not play both?
Why not play all 😂
Wuwa doesnt waste much of your time, you can play both
Good luck walking around on foot while we fly.
I like how the gearing system sounds as I generally despise gear in most of the gachas I've seen.
AKEF has a built-in player filter system lmao and I'm all for it
What we've seen so far on pull currency is:
In a month:
24 pulls from dailies.
7 pulls from Algorithmic Memories (a weekly)
5 pulls from Outpost shop (using factory currency)
X pulls from ongoing events*
There could be more pulls or oroberyl given out as login rewards, no way to know on that but they do give at least 1 pull a month in OG AK.
Also 60 weapon pulls (also from Algorithmic Memories)
*OG AK gives on average around 35 pulls a month from events. Again, no way to know what they do in EF, but food for thought.
Thank you for reviewing after actually reaching the endgame. Enjoy the beta test, my guy!
By far the most well put and thought out breakdown of endfield, hope this video pops off
I love Endfield's approach to combat, it reminds me of games like FF7 remake and FF15 it even reminds me of Dragon Age Inquisition/Veilguard.
Yeah same! I get the fast-paced DMC-esque action combat with WuWa and I would love it for Endfield to take the slower and more strategic pace.
one does not simply argue about math and efficiency with base building gamers :'v
I cannot wait! Thank you for sharing this.
Stick to genshin and wuwa then, no need waste Ur time to leave comment how U dislike 😊😊
@@chinthengfong1598 endfield community already sucks lol
The only people complaining about Endfield gacha system are the whales. For F2P, most of us will only pulling 1 copy regardless so having the 120 guaranteed is a huge W. And it seems like it’s similar Arknights dupes system where the character only get damage boost or efficiency boost and not having their entire gameplay potential locked behind an expensive paywall.
The bald man tell us to come here
I’m proud of being a fan of og Arknights and seeing the future for the next game
is this game supported coop mode? i really like to play this with my friend
non as of now
@@hermanwillem7057 okay
Hypergryph is following the same trend they've upheld with Arknights for 6 years, and that is duplicates are a tiny bonus, but nothing important or necessary.
the battle system is not like genshin its more like final fantasy 7 remake/rebirth
everything I need to know.
what is the minimum machine that can actually run this well?
If you don't mind my asking, what hardware are you using to run the game?
What parts of the game did you feel it stutter or slow down more (does building towards a bigger base make it a bit slower/stuttery?)
Every 10th pull guarantee 5 stars is amazing 🤩
I only have one question. If I don't like base building, do you recommand this game?
The exploration and it's version of the "tv mode" is a big problem, most people are respecting they're own rime more and more and don't have time for this openworld nonsense, especially when that does not have any intrinsic mobility system
Please tell me there is no grindy dailies
So we cant farm the gacah currency like in Arknights ? So this isn't Telos 1-7
so theres no rng gear? Thats actually one criteria i have when it comes to gacha games. I like RNG gear it allows for me to min max specific characters and just have them feel unique.
there's add on for weapon with some rng stat but that's it nothing integral
Leveathan and Gibraltar?
Yeah right Surtr and Angelina
Ok... I was on the fence regarding this game... but base building? Nope, if I want that I'll get Factorio
Bullet dodged 😅
Endfield is good can't wait to play this game , gacha is amazing and generous every 10th pull guarantee 5 stars characters
Any release date yet?
It could be a problem if earning pulls in the game was so hard. If you pulled with only 80 pulls, lost the 50/50 and didn't have enough time to secure 40 more pulls by the time the banner you pulled in ends, then how long till you can get another 80 pulls plus another 40 since you're incentivised to save for a guarantee at that point. Would it take a month? What does it look like if they decide to release the BiS support for the character you just lost the 50/50 with in the next banner? 120 for guarantee means less pulls for players but that could mean they give you less earnable premium currency.
I'll wait till launch if 120 pull still doesn't carry over I don't think I'm going to play the game.
As for the beta, the 80 pull does carry over but not the 120. We don't know whether they will change it or not at release day but one thing is for sure, based from og arknights HG is pretty f2p friendly and you can farm the gacha currency easily in many ways and I assume HG will do the same in endfield.
@@shinda69 i really hope so or this will scare off alot of ppl hurting the product in the end

So many times there are just too much to do, and the problem is a lot of it is repetitive, boring tasks
True. That why i love zzz, i dont need to walk or collect stuff and other shit
"Open world" is just an excuse for lazy map design. Endfield doesn't do that and it is not an open world game.
Its not open world
Building pity is a NO for this game?
the only thing that i found bad is the 120 pity not carring over... it means that if u want to guarante a caracter, u need to have 120 pulls... for f2p, could be a nightmare
tbf we still have yet to learn how they're gonna implement free currency in Endfield. If it's the same as OG Arknights, then being an f2p is very possible to do.
That's why you save pulls and skip a banner, that's literally just the same as building up pity for a character you like
that's under the assumption in not knowing how many pulls they give
well its not similar to hoyo games where all new character are always limited. even if you loss you have the chance to get other character like the previouse featured character
I think it is more of a plan. Save for 120. If you hit before 120 good, you have extra ammo for other banners next time. The reward for being patience is the player won't go to 160 or 180 at the worst, which saves a ton of resource in the long run. And no fomo for dupes too which I think is highly undermined and undervalued by players.
i wait ananta i just saw a vid omg insane
Lmao what is with the gigantic outfits some of these characters have, they look ridiculous XD. Otherwise game looks cool lol
I dont know about this one. The base building is such a neat idea but the actual gameplay looks a bit messy and clunky
is this the last beta before release? do we have any information about it?
The way things are worded essentially implies at least 1 more Beta after this one.
Tbh... i have done too much. I no longer feel need to explore new world. To seek 1000 chests...
I spend less and less money on mobile, like 20$ a month now. (from like 100)
The only thing I hate is the lack of male characters
The game will likely come to have a similar ratio of male/female characters as the original arknights (2/5).
@Razor4884 There is like a 1/5 ratio in the original don't lie
@@MITKOYATO ??? I'm not. A person did the math a month ago. I'll copy-paste the data:
there are a total of 354 operators in arknights, I was wondering about the gender ratio of the recruitable characters there. Includes alters
6* Operators: 84 Female, 22 male, 106 total
5* Operators: 121 Female, 38 male, 159 total
4* Operators: 46 Female, 11 male, 1 unknown 58 total
3* Operators: 12 female, 6 male 18 total
2* Operators: 2 female, 3 male 5 total
1* Operators: 1 female, 1 cat, 6 robot 8 total
Could be wrong, the wiki for some reason doesn't have any "Male, female" categories so I have to do it by hand.
Anyways that means that
6* have a ratio of 3.81 of female to male
5* have a ratio of 3.46 of female to male
4* have a ratio of 4.1 of female to male
3* have a ratio of 2 of female to male
2* have a ratio of .66 of female to male
1* have a ratio of infinite of female to male
And grand total ratio is 3.325 of female to male for the entire game
All i want is what original arknights had.
Hot furry guys! Gimme more mountain!
This game seems take so much time to play. :) Not game for someone like me.
tbh idc, its endfield factorio

whats constiallations?
Duplicates of the characters that you already acquired once.
Arknights designed in a way that you don't need duplicates to feel comfortable with a character, but people simply unused to such concepts, since in many other games dupes are must to make chars work.
Satisfactory genshin basically
I love Arknights so i play it no matter what ❤❤❤ lets gooo
Oooo not sure if I like the base building...lol
Glad it’s so factory heavy. Helps me to not pick up yet another gacha lol. Not my style of game thankfully
personally having both the permanent 50/50 and the lack of carry over makes it a pass from me. either i could lived with but both means any dupe could cost significantly more then in other gatcha
You... Did not read how it works didn't you?
The Gacha mechanic is a black hole in this game.
@@jm0062 yes yes, and 100 dollars = 100 roubles, good luck, cause you will have a hard life
As I mentioned in both the video and in the pinned comment: what is ACTUALLY important is how much pull currency were given, but there is simply no way to know what this amount will be.
To bad about the base building and the potato combat, o well, more games coming out anyway lol
Will see.
This gacha system is way better wdym not only are the rates higher the pity starts earlier at 65 unlike the genshin model that starts at 75ich not to mention the characters are not limited so they can spook you on later banners, the 120 exists as last measure to guarantee you the character if everything fails (saying you getting a 6* early is very unrealistic and in normal circumstances in the mihoyo gacha model you would have to go to 160ich pulls to get your character)
And if this is following original arknights model they will be very generous with the currency not to mention the weapon banner got separate currency which is easy to get ( I could never pull for weapons in genshin and still can't pull for lightcones in hsr)
It is really not as bad as all you people keep trying to make it seem.
