LYJ's probably got the most lethal back hand flick with fast forehand to follow. To minimize the flick effect is not to drive the ball back, trying to outpace him but return a short loop to force him out of position and/or awkward for him to counter (ball is higher and spinny). FZD has shown it here. The same can be done against Harimoto coz both of them punch/flick to create an ultra fast counter then follow up with killing forehand. Anyway, they are all respectable, capable and awesome players.

Awesome plays by both players. I wish Lin would not be knocked out by Fan. Looking forward to finals, but this was premature finals IMHO. anyone here has the same opinion?

@@user-pz3ut2wu5f 正确。改大球没有体力和力量光靠控球不行了，特别是有了反手拧技术后，前三板优势就没了，多了相持。这一点对欧州球员特别有利。以后欧州年轻一代成熟后会很有冲击力。特别是男子，暴力球会多起来。上一轮的一场比赛非州一哥对上中国年轻的二线队员，反手防住后一板正手暴冲几乎无解。对方防不住毫无办法。

Wang C.Q could stop FZD who often delivers unforced errors. Wang has compulsive ego to fight till last gasp. FZD need 110% physical and mental fitness.

That depends on a player's driving force and spin. Your drive/return needs a steady and effective trajectory to reach the other end of table so every player has his/her particular stance and position. If you can't work it out, your shots can either be too long (off the table) or too short (goes into the net). Have seen top players vary their drive/return range to force their opponents out of their effective positions, causing unforced errors. Proper table tennis technique/skill requires a complicated knowledge of physics (spin, speed, angle, aim, reaction and equipment specs). It's hard to comprehend unless you study those factors and PLAY it seriously.
