    Feel free to recommend me some books on mysticism, especially books like The Rule of St Benedict. Absolutely love books like that.

      Hi! I'm not sure to call it 'Christian' mysticism, but Emerson's 'Nature' has an interesting take on the topic. Another mystic writer could be Fray Luis de León. His Ode I 'The life removed' (La vida retirada) is fascinating.

    "I wasn't going to get, but then I realized it was 1000 pages so Im going to get it" hahahah I actually laughed out loud because usually I get intimidated if a book is too long. I should adopt a different attitude lol

      I haven't. I have seen the book, but was unsure. Can you give me an explanation about the kind of book it is?

      @@IdeasInHat in church history, there are differnt periods. the 12 disiples met Christ. some of them wrote about Christ. the apostlic fathers met some of the disples. i am not an expert on this so feel free to fact check me.
