Did you know that Anne Boleyn’s father inherited a unique family heirloom? Or that her mother was praised by a famous poet? There are also some mysteries about Mary Boleyn's later years. Wow, the things Anne experienced! Thanks Claire, love coming home from work to your videos! The Boleyns were such a fascinating family
Thank you!
Thanks Claire. The Boleyns were certainly well connected.
Yes, they really were.
Thanks Claire! Love the signs that Elizabeth honored her mother throughout her life!
She really did.
@@anneboleynfiles Elizabeth honoured her mother's memory in classy, understated, dignified ways 🥰
Leonardo DaVinci painted himself in several portraits. Leonardo was good looking, he had golden, curly hair and hazel eyes. He could sing and dance, play instruments. He was gifted in every way. Anne Boleyn would have noticed and remembered him.
It makes sense that she would have been in his vicinity.
Yes, I'm sure she would have.
I may be wrong but by the time he was in France, I believe he was already old age? I may be wrong.
Thank you Claire ❤
Always good to hear little known or less spoken of facts on Anne and the Boleyn family 😁
Also helps that some of these facts give some insight and dispel some misconceptions on members of the Boleyn and extended family 🌹
Some fascinating Boleyn facts! Particularly enjoyed the Leonardo DaVinci/Anne Boleyn fact! I had no idea 🤩 Thanks Claire
Claire, the idea that Anne Boleyn crossed paths with Leonardo da Vinci has my wheels spinning. That is truly intriguing. Thanks, as always, for your insights on the Tudors!
Thank you!
I never had imagined that Anne Boleyn saw Leonardo Da Vinci. How fascinating! Thank you Claire.😊
Thank you!
@@leticiagarcia9025 To think, two legendary figures in their own right likely crossed paths in some way 😲

Indeed. That was amazing. Hope you are doing well. Here in America we are fearing Trump may win the election. It meant a lot that our allies think highly of President Biden. I know Biden will be eighty. He’s not the same when he was vice president. There’s no need for the media and the democrats in Washington to turn against him. The democrats have no backbone. Whereas Trump is saying he wants to be a dictator on day one and the republicans are standing strong behind him. The media is not reporting that with he will become a dictator. The Supreme Court made him king. He can do whatever he wants without accountability. The Supreme Court made gave him immunity. Sorry for dumping this on you. I just wanted to put it out there that I’m not like him, his allies and his supporters.
Really interesting great presentation.
Thanks
Thank you Claire, I'm a very long distant relation to the family. I appreciate all these little tib bits of history.❤
The possibility of a Da Vinci connection is interesting. Anne lived in such a dynamic period in western history, I often wonder if she found the English Court dull, especially after her time in France. Many thanks Claire for this enjoyable broadcast.
Yes, she was in France at such a time of change.
@@anneboleynfiles To think what those dark, beguiling eyes witnessed in her lifetime 👁️
Fun facts! Thanks.
Thank you for all these interesting facts about the Boleyn family. That was wonderful! I especially enjoyed hearing the beautiful poem about Elizabeth Boleyn, thank you Claire!
Thank you!
❤ fantastic interesting facts! Thank you Claire
Thank you!
Wonderful facts, about the Boleyns! You have whetted my interest in them, especially Anne. Last year, I went to Hever Castle to see where Anne spent her childhood. This year, I’ll visit Blickling Hall.
Enjoy Blickling!
So interesting. 8 love how you give the details that move them out of seemingly fictional to actual humans who once walked the earth.
Also, you'd be an awesome neighbour 😊 the way you present these in such an approachable, chatting over coffee or a glass of wine is awesome. ❤
Aw, thank you!
Didn't John Skelton also praise Jane Seymour's mother in a poem? What a bounder.
Yes, that's right!
Very good! Can we have some facts onThomas's brothers as they are often sidelined?
I'm covering Sir James Boleyn in my event, and mentioning various members of the wider Boleyn family.
What if Anne had become Anne da Vinci? Then there would have been no Queen Elizabeth I, and the state of Virginia would be called something different! George Boleyn would have become a celebrity poet, and maybe Jane, Anne, and Mary would have started a new fashion line and boutique in Paris..."La Boleyn", or something.
I do like to imagine Henry VIII watching over his children once he'd passed and being devastated that the most successful/long reigning children was the daughter of his first beheaded wife 😂 that he lied about so badly 😂
Yes!
kinda boring...
I guess it depends what you're interested in.
