Great effort and a good build. I did several experiments about 15 years ago but the units were never efficient enough. Peltiers were not efficient enough.

Well firstly, this design is horrible. Never use it. Secondly, a TEC fridge/freezer could be practical if you are going the DIY route for an off grid situation. However, if you’re not on a DC power grid (e.g. your “home” is entirely powered by DC) then it would be a little silly to use a TEC freezer for anything larger than a couple beers. Granted, I’m probably going to build myself a large TEC freezer, but it’s for a custom off grid camper build. Converting/buying or inverting a chest freezer doesn’t fit my fancy

I am trying to set up a peltier 12706, supplying power from a 12 Volt, 6 Amp transformer rectifying & filtering it into 12 V DC. At first the heat sinks on the hot side is heating up and cold side is cooling respectively. A few minutes later the cold side is also heating up. How to rectify this?
@@kurtmagnus5243 yes, my power outlet in me car is 180w, 15amps, so my box cooler is a 6amp peltier, you have to take the fan into account as well, that takes a bit of power, there are loads of vids on peltiers, you just have to find them, giving you good information, if you go in to a shop that sells cooler boxes, look for the watts it uses, some are really small, if it says 48watts, that 4amps, or 04 on the peltier, mine cost me £20, a 04amps, it dose the job, going to put a bigger peltier in, I like my beer cold :)

Bro who tf has H2 handy? Also it’s extremely difficult to store. Plus, water is far better than just straight up hydrogen bc efficient cooling has to be at cryogenic temperatures/pressures. Hydrogen is only practical for cooling rocket nozzles/engines before its injected into the fuel. (Source: aerospace degree)
This project is crude. The finishing is so crude. Wires are seen all over the place. There are similar project on UA-cam where it is done neatly and looks like a fridge. Just my 2 cents.

No, it's not. Peltier elements are power hungry. You're better of by dismantling a fridge and turn it into an diy airconditioner.

Send less voltage with a dc to dc converter. Should make them colder when the amp draw reduces
How many amps does it take to run that thing?
the last two numbers are the amps it uses , those are 06, so 6 x 12v = 72watts, times 3, that 216watts, you need a good power box

If you use water blocks, the cold side gets colder and stays colder longer. It's possible to get down to actual refrigerator temps (34 F).
