I grew up in Walnut Creek, in the 1950s, about 2.5 hours south from Napa During this time, if you had challenges in school, one’s behavior, etc., your were sent to “Napa”. Because at that time Napa was known for the state mental hospital. Aka Napa State. I’m glad the vines and wines took over and in turn books as well.
