i did one of these once. it was brutal to memorize and i had the luxury that i was just lip-syncing to a forward-sung song. major kudos making it intelligible

@@danielzak4405Ok why did I hear that as backwards sounds in my head? Oh wait. I meant... [Ok why did I hear that as backwards sounds in my head?]backwards
The folding by Alkaloid is a song that does this from the middle of the song onwards 😄 If you play the song forward, it tells one part of their story (the story has 9 songs, this is the last one yet, it's about a Dyson Sphere) and if you play it backards, it tells the story, but the lyrics still make sense (not all, but they all are lyrics). I am all Omega 😁
This video was top of my feed and interrupted my brain while I was having a panic spiral. Thankyou Matt. It's different enough and requires a new way of thinking that just redirected me enough.
I've tried to do this too. It's easier in some other languages where the sound matches the letters more, whereas the spelling in English is kinda weird. Like how there is an E at the end of lake even though you're not saying it
I love when he gets so angry he just summons a log to him telepathically. Truly, this man is too powerful to be left alone. His english could use a little work, too...although he sounded great at the beginning and end, weirdly enough
You have officially outdone yourself… holy mother of god 🤯 I’ve reversed short sentences when I was bored.. it was tough. I can’t even imagine how long it took to plan out and do all of that in one take. Hats off sir! You’re a mad lad
Backward talk tip! If you put pre-aspiration on aspirated consonants, especially at the end (backwards beginning) of words. That will help them sound more natural.
filming things in reverse is such an interesting concept. a band called "STARRYSKY" made an album based on this premise, with songs that are entirely recorded in reverse, including the instruments
So I'm bilingual english-french (english being my mother tongue), and started practising to do this in french. It took me a few weeks to manage to say basically anything I wanted (sentences and all) backwards. But then I tried to do it in english and no matter how I try I can barely get a word to sound kinda right. So props to you.
This is the biggest breakthrough in the field of linguistic-comedy crossovers on UA-cam the world has ever seen. Some might say that Matts fan base is not ready for such high brow science. His fans would say 'we are ready for enlightenment.'
Making me want to try this. I got 3.50 that says speaking it forwards, playing it backwards and learning the sound rather than trying to think about it or figure it out makes it easy, and not making the inflections sound weird.
The fact that you went to this effort for a rant about cheese is amazing. Major Tom Scott energy but clearly nothing to do with it. Maybe you should try recreating “Two Drums and a Cymbal fall off a Cliff.
the biggest issue is that even if you would say the actual sounds you make for the word in reverse over just saying the letters in revers, what you physically can't do in reverse is that words start with you starting to speak and end with you ending to speak, that is where that typical reversed sound comes from that those 2 operations are reversed
how much did he have to rehearse that, like for real that was impressive, either it was one take (which I think it was) which is super impressive or he managed to edit it so smoothly that i didn't notice any cuts, either way super impressive.
This video felt like some AI voice used in the wrong language. But honestly big props for finding out how to all those words backwards so it becomes somehow understandable

Start at the end and work backwards from there
i have a friend with a talent for backwards speaking
When you spend enough time wishing you could reverse time so your wife would come back, this skill comes naturally
Simple solution, record it forwards, reverse it, then *try* to make the sounds you hear
I'd learn the English phonetic alphabet for a starter and then go from there. Pretty basic grammar knowledge, I'd have thought.
Matt making Sasquatch noises with his arms raised while he summons a log into his hands with the Force will haunt my dreams.

In other words, standard Matt Colbo stuff
I love how he gets more Scottish as he gets angrier
