I work for NYPD in the Bronx and I freelance Corporate Photo/Video When you come back up north I’d love to stop by and see your Kodiak. Been feeling a strong pull to get my pilot’s license. And I have a huge love of seaplanes. While I think the Cessna 172,175,182,185,206 & Caravan Amphibious options are cool too, the Kodiak has become renowned for its quality and performance. I think after a few certs including CFI I believe the amphibious cert is like 10hrs or something.
@@CyberSystemOverload Fit / Finish, controls are more solid, better technology-wing design, ramp presence-exhaust on a caravan is hideous, Kodiak has inflatable door seals, Kodiak is more luxurious looking interior, Caravan has to have interior upgrade through a 3rd party/not factory installation, Compare specs of the Kodiak 100 to the 675 Caravan and the Kodiak 900 to the Grand Caravan, the 900 is certified with the latest requirements which is more stringent than what the Caravan’s were certified too. I have a video where I demo’ed a Kodiak and it’s a very nice plane to fly, I was so used to the sloppy controls of a Cessna that it initially felt too tight, more like a sports car!
@@Parr4theCourse Wow I had no idea, thanks for all the details. A very impressive airplane for sure. How about the Grand Caravan EX, is that the closest Cessna has to matching the Kodiak? Also a random question but why didnt they add blended winglets to Kodiak. Those things make the wing more efficient right (sorry Im not expert on this!)

My friend had this idea of a drinking-game, to take a shot for each time the dude said «Euhh» in this video.
R. I. P. Friend…
Sorry BUT the Kodiak 100 on floats does not cruise at 160kts!! Not even at full throttle!
I want one, but I don't have a flying license and make less than a 100k a year, fuck my life.
