Why you put kick and bassline in mono but using the "left" and "right" parameters in utility and not just "mono" button?

It might be because the mono button merges the left and right channel and this could result in unwanted frequency cancellation. When you just use the left or the right channel there is no such effect. Not sure if this is correct, tho.
