If you like this fantastic setups. Just like Didier is really a class of his own, rare talent. You should check these 3 master musicians also. I am talking about the RAY PIZZI, CAROL KAYE & MITCH HOLDER trio live. Carol was like non stop working hard , be it soloing or always holding the grove. Ray Pizzi is the master of the saxophone or anything’s needing air or wind to blow thru’. His control and the tone is so special and unique creating so much feeling and emotion. Mitch Holder is a rare gem, so hard to find his other recording. His performance here is TOP of range, so tasteful, you just hope it lasted longer. This recording, the cd “Thumbs Up”. A rare classic, please check it out and ENJOY.
Bireli is surely the best. He can switch from pure Gypsy to general jazz. My respect, what a great musician!
I am crazy music fan, fanatic! I mean you know, George Benson, Buckethead, Joe Satriani, Iron Maiden, Lynyrd Skynyrd. But these guys are stone badass mutafukas make me enjoy truest music so much!
+daumoro All the groups you mentioned don't stand up to Bireli Lagrene,and these REAL musicians! Buckethead should keep the bucket over his head at all times! Even if he runs out of the fried chicken that came with it!!!

Nice joke for #6. "I've Got Rhythm" is still awesome, even though they "lost" the 4 bar turn-around.
The track titles are seriously wrong.
#7 is indeed an interesting solo, but #8 is Django Reinhardt's "Minor Swing", and the encore is "Autumn Leaves" («Les feuilles mortes»).

Bireli's guitar sounds too plunky. He should have gotten a more softer sound, to hear the bass and sax better. Maybe added a chorus pedal. Sounds pretty good. Could be better. Great band and arrangements. That damn plunky sound. Ouch
