New subscriber. I just bought a '22 RGS (Vivid Black/Reef Blue), and one of the first things I want to do is to add saddlebag guards. I'm glad that I watched this video. I almost purchased the rails only (without the extension that connects to the rear). You have already saved me time and aggravation!!! Appreciate the content! Thanks! I used your link to purchase from Amazon (except in black, instead of chrome, as my RGS is blacked out, not chrome). I love your Red/Black RGS, too!
Thanks Chuck for watching and subscribing. The saddlebag guards have saved my bags on my bikes on several occasions. In my view it's very cheap insurance to save the bags from damage. I look forward to seeing your comments on other and future videos. The channel has lots of how to and product installs that you may find helpful as you make your bike your own. Ride safe and enjoy the ride. 👍👊🇺🇸
Agreed. Slow-speed tight turns are important to me. Saddlebag guards are vitally important to me on my new, heavy bagger. I'm thinking that an adjustable clutch lever may be my next upgrade.
Thanks brother for taking the time to watch and comment. I now have them on all the bikes. They have come in handy when I've dropped a bike on the range. Ride safe. 👍👊🇺🇸
Thanks for watching. They guards will definitely protect those expensive saddlebags for those accidental drops. Worth the small cost relative to the cost of new saddlebags. Ride safe. 👊👍🇺🇸
I saw a guy on another Channel after showing up to do the slow speed Maneuvers going on to take painters tape and taping pillows to his saddlebags so that if he went over his bike literally landed on pillows. On the one hand it looked silly but on the other hand I was starting to think maybe he was smarter than all of us.
Ron...I have dropped my bikes doing slow speed skill practice with these guards on several occasions. No issues or bend at all. Only some scraps on the edge from going across the concrete...which is to be expected. Of course the drops were at slow speeds. I don't think any guards will hold up at a high speed drop and slide...not even the engine guards. Thanks for watching and commenting. Ride safe and enjoy. 👊✌️👍
Very handy install, Rick. I’ve often thought about adding some to my SGS, however I’m not a fan of the looks. I should get over that, because practicality should be the deciding factor! 😉✌️😂
The black set blends in pretty well on my Road King Special...probably would be the same on your bike. Thanks for watching and commenting. Ride safe 👍👊
Just fitted these aftermarket HD type bags to my Suzuki C90T and agree that they look good, a few things to sort, they definitely don't fit straight on the Suzuki lol.
Thanks for the awesome video. Super helpful. Curious if that nut and bolt that holds the bar together ever rubs the bag with vibration? It's pretty close in the channel under the bags.
Thanks for watching and commenting. No issues with the bolts rubbing any part of the bags. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you. If you haven't yet subscribed to the channel I'd be honored if you'd consider doing so. Thanks for your support and ride safe. ✌️👊👍
I agree. It's much less expensive to replace the guards versus the Saddlebags. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it. Ride safe and enjoy the ride.👊👍
Thanks for the detailed instructions and review. How is the chrome holding up? I was about to drive almost 2 hours to buy some used guards for a bit more then the amazon price. Very glad I found your channel. Thank you.

I does protect the entire bag. In a tip over the front crash bar works in conjunction with the rear and holds the bike up so the back of the bag does not hit the ground. Great question. Thanks for watching and commenting. Ride safe. 👊👍
That's interesting. I have never had any issues after installing saddlebag guards on my bikes. So far I've had them on 4 of my Harley Touring bikes with no issues. Thanks for sharing your experience. Ride safe and enjoy. 👊👍✌️
Very nice detailed explanation which always makes a big difference. Great job Rick! This is first accessory I buy as well.
Thanks for watching Art. This is great insurance so as not to damage the expensive saddlebags. I appreciate your support. Ride safe.👍👊🇺🇸
Wow you got a killer of a deal on those.
Jerry Paloma would be proud.

Another great install video! 💯🤙 I don’t have them on mine but May consider for future upgrade. Thx!
Thanks brother for taking the time to watch and comment. I now have them on all the bikes. They have come in handy when I've dropped a bike on the range. Ride safe. 👍👊🇺🇸
Nice install I need to get some

All I needed was an allen wrench for the rear bolt? LMAO. I'm a dumbass. 😆 Great job on the video!
Thanks for watching and commenting. The larger rear bolt was a bit tricky with the fascia right there. Ride safe and enjoy the ride. 👊👍
another well one install video
Thank you Scott. Much appreciated. 👊✌️👍

Thats funny. I'll have to find that one. That's a solution for sure. 🤣🤣🤣👊👍

Great 👍 Thanks for watching and ride safe. 👍👊🇺🇸
@@HDVIBE no problem Brother you put it great Content 👊

I subscribed. I'm going to put these on my 2019 electraglide std
Thank you for watching and subscribing. I actually forgot about the electraglide standard. I appreciate your support. Ride safe and enjoy the ride. 👊👍
Have you tested the strength of those guards to support the weight of the bike? I saw one case where a tipover bent the bars.

Thank you for the instructions Brother! I bought the same set from Amazon and like always no damn instructions...... Semper Fi

Quick question, do you know if the diameter of the main guards on the Amazon ones and the Harley ones are the same?
The bar diameter on both are 7/8 inch. Hope that helps. Thanks for the support. 👍✌️👊

Does it protect the stretched bag, as the rear of the bag looks a lot lower than the guard
I does protect the entire bag. In a tip over the front crash bar works in conjunction with the rear and holds the bike up so the back of the bag does not hit the ground. Great question. Thanks for watching and commenting. Ride safe. 👊👍

I installed these now I have major wear in the paint on my tank and rear fender under the seat that wasn’t there before the install😢
That's interesting. I have never had any issues after installing saddlebag guards on my bikes. So far I've had them on 4 of my Harley Touring bikes with no issues. Thanks for sharing your experience. Ride safe and enjoy. 👊👍✌️
Save time and just support your mufflers with a box or a jack so you don't have to actually take them off to do this install. That's a waste of time.
Thanks for watching and for the tip. Ride safe. 👊👍
