Hey, I’m with ya regards Professional’s Choice boots. If I were a header, I’d use the exact boot you use. As a heeler, as good as I am😜, I have roped a front leg on my heel horse. She wears Professional’s Choice Combo boots, that have the bell boot connected to the upper. When a heeler does inadvertently rope their horse’s front leg, their loop has a tendency to end up in that notch at the pastern just below the fetlock. It can give yer horse a nasty rope burn. The combo boot nye on completely eliminates this. I got mine from NRS,

I have a pair that I used for about 2 years and I agree with you. I quit using neoprene rear boots because my heel horse rips the closures in about 3 months. I use leather or polo wraps

Those splint boots are the BEST! I’ve found they don’t get as wet and so I don’t have to clean them as much which helps them last so much longer!
