Walken’s character is a zen master. This movie has a lot more depth than people think
Christopher Walken is the most consistently entertaining actor to ever exist and I don't think it's close.
He's definitely one of my favorites.
the studio execs didn't want to pay for Walken,so Spade paid his salary out of his own pocket.Once the studio execs saw the brilliance Walken was bringing to the table however they wound up giving Spade the money back he doled out.

The part where he starts yelling “JOE DIRT JOE DIRT” at 2:33 is one of the most wonderfully unhinged things I’ve ever seen Walken do, dude is a straight up lunatic for 5 seconds here.
Every time I see Kevin Farley I just can’t help but think of how much I miss Chris. Kevin is cool too, I wish he was casted in more movies. But Christopher Walken is one of the greats.

The cop at 2:50 is Chris Farley’s brother. his name is Kevin. He has two brothers that are actors. The other is John.
I used to engineer a podcast they did together that was hilarious. They would intentionally get wound up and start yelling at each other. It was so funny, I couldn’t stop laughing. It was like two Chris Farleys yelling at each other.

Christopher Walken is a great actor- I remember years ago reading in a magazine that he was so glad to get the role in this movie because he always played a bad guy. Two of the actors that played in this movie played in Bond movies.

I always felt that Christopher Walken plays mobsters a little TOO well.
It's funny because Walken was in a TV movie called Sarah, Plain and Tall where he's a farmer in Kansas in 1910, and his wife died.
But the even funnier thing is that he has the exact same f*cking accent as here 😂😂😂😂😂
