Yeah, thats not true. The highway code says you should let buses out when safe to do so but they don't have priority in a legal sense and they don't have the right to pull put into active traffic without checking its safe to do so. You'd never get a license without checking mirrors and blindspots to see if its clear before pulling out.

If England has only remotely close traffic laws to Germany (my homecountry), then you first of all have to slow down to pedestrian speed (~5-7kmh) when the hazard lights are activated at a stations, and you also have to let the bus in first, even if that means you have to come to a stop. And from my knowledge is this experience pretty much universal around European countries.
@@jms4989 Then England differs slightly. The highway code does say priority should be given whem safe to do so, and it does advise you to slow down im case stupid people decide to cross in front of it where they cant see traffic, but we have no speed limits on approaching or passing a stopped bus amympre than we would a stopped car. If its not safe to pass necaise of oncoming traffic then stop and wait. Otherwise just progress past carefully. As I said before though, a bus driver signalling its intent to move by turning on the indicator doesnt give it instant authority over traffic already passing it. Most people will wait, some people will pass. The driver of the stationary vehicle must signal its intent to move and then move only when safe to do so, not just indicate and start moving. If that was a car and not a bike passing in the video, the bus could have forced the car to brake hard or into oncoming traffic to avoid a collision, ironically potentially causing a collision. The bus driver didnt check it was clear to move before he did and thats dangerous driving. Don't misunderstand me, yeah you should slow down when approaching a parked bus and prepare to stop, but that doesnt excuse the driver not making checks before moving. 'Indicators - on. Mirrors - ooh, that bikes moving a bit fast, he isnt slowing down, better wait or I could cause him to swerve into traffic and cause an accident.'

2nd: I honked because she was obviously distracted and not paying attention. I thanked her for moving out of the way by giving her a thumbs up, and then she gave me the middle finger, not once, but twice. Could have I dealt differently? Yes maybe... But when this happened I just thought in teaching her a lesson. I'm not the king of the road, nor I want to be. I just want people to be polite when they clearly are not right. So yes, the smashed mirror will make her think twice the next time she wants to show her middle finger without being right

5:15 trouble is that the U.K. highway code states that you must let busses pull out. Bit of a daft grey area that some bus drivers flaunt to the extent that they assume they can just pull into moving traffic rather than waiting until safe to do so. Could be worse though. I have ridden through India on a motorcycle!

Riding in India is like riding in the UK. The fatality per 100.000 motorcycles is almost the same, about 29. It is much worse in USA. There the fatality is 60 per 100.000 motorcycles.

The 2nd guy is hero, not only for that woman, but for whole road, he resolved dangerous situation. What wanders me is, how many guys just ride around him, seing pushing him car alone and don't stop to ask if he needs help. In my country it is ilegal, not stop, IDK if everywhere. 3:17 I couldn't tell whether they meant mandatory stop for the truck or the motorcycles. Either way both party's should have stopped and there's no way that streets speed limit was more than 35 miles which would give them plenty of time to react to a truck running a stop sign.

Lane filtering seems like it's just impatience, but it's legitimately the safest place to be. If a car gets rear ended at a light, nbd. If a bike gets rear ended at a light and they might be dead. People need to stop thinking it's so crazy.
