A tyt md380 with ty tools has options for low/high display settings fixes your problem there, front firing speaker, good buttons, great battery life, large screen, and more....
I have this radio but its the ar685g for ham use ;-) fantastic radio ;-) put in the latest version of firmware ver: 8.00.06.107.ha and this thing shines , talk alias feature so you see the callsign of the station talking not just the id number, back light feature putting it on to the nighttime display is much better also alot of other features , i have the md-380 with tools firmware and yes its a good radio but not professional like this one ;-) always go to this radio , M3DAF ;-)
Yeah... I bought it for 400 dollars. Now 150 to 190 on ebay. I should have gone w a dstar Kenwood. I don't wanna sell it just because I don't want to take the loss on it. Hytera (and partially dmr) ended up being a flop.
