I honestly have recently struggled to continue watching videos of Japan, especially study abroad vlogs. I applied for TUJ and unfortunately was not accepted which gave me a loss of confidence in myself and hope, mostly because I had a strong desire to live and study in Japan. Watching these videos just made me very emotional for a while so I tried to give myself a break from youtube altogether. I have felt a lot better about my situation, therefore I wanted to start watching your channel because you have always inspired me. I know I should not dwell on not getting into my dream uni because their are always other opportunities and I know I have struggled academically due to my mental and physical health through high school, so I have begun furthering my options to begin college in the US and transfer when my academic profile improves. I just want to say thank you so much for giving me hope and I genuinely love your videos as they inspire me. I also think that opening a cafe in Japan would be amazing! maybe incorporating menu items that you may not find at your typical cafe in Japan.
i am intending on also pursuing education in japan.
i'm intending on going to a japanese language school before this - if you haven't already learned the language, and if you have the money i'm sure it could be a worthwhile experience on its own, and also open more opportunities to attend other universities in japan if you manage n1 :)

Hey !! （＾ν＾）This week I’ve had an interview at my uni about going abroad to Japan for a semester. In my motivation letter I mentioned how you were filming your life in Tokyo, which inspires me to go too since I’m really curious about the culture, the food and the lifestyle there. While talking with them, an interviewer mentioned having watched one of your videos and said you were just drinking Cola 😭 Idk how to describe it but she made it sound like it was an invalid/unimpressive reason for my motivation like- I told her that you do much more than that, also mentioned that you upload more on TikTok as well. So many people applied to go to my desired uni, so I really hope that I get lucky. They were pretty strict with the questions, but it’s to be expected. Y’all wish me luck !!

Hmm sounds like she doesn't get although I really hope you get the spot ❤ ... bit of a tip from someone who's done loads of interviews which have gone well... 1. Don't be 100% honest. Just tell them what they want to hear. 2. Ask loads of questions. It shows you value yourself and are interviewing them too. Good luck ✌🏼
